The best food in Spain!
After traveling Spain for two weeks, my boyfriend and I grew very tired of tradition Spanish tapas. On our search for something different, we found this gem!
It was Easter at 9:30 PM, when we saw the doors locked and closed. The owner saw us outside and unlocked his doors and invited us in. So gracious! After talking to us for a few minutes about Spain, traditional Moroccan cooking, and his wife's expertise in the kitchen, we decided on two recommended couscous dishes - lamb and chicken.
Amazing. The chicken was so tender, it nearly fell off of the bone. The caramelized onions mixed with raisins and chickpeas made for a sweet/savory combination of exquisiteness. The lamb... So beautifully cooked and full of flavor. The aromatics of the spices, the perfectly cooked vegetables on top of simple couscous and homemade broth left one wanting more at the end. To finish, we had a FRESH Moroccan mint tea. No tea bags here. Simply mint, jasmine, sugar, nutmeg, and orange blossom infused water. So refreshing. The perfect way to cleanse your palate after a good meal.
The restaurant is more than just good food though. The service! The hospitality! Simply amazing.
THIS is authentic, home cooked comfort food that is very hard to find anywhere. Go. You will not be disappointed. read more
