I am super grateful there is a Pierre Marcolini shop located here because I adore his chocolates but it does slightly hit the wallet. There's also a good cheese shop and I hit up Di for girly stuff at the same time. I haven't had much luck with the bread shop so tend to avoid it. There's also a C&A (similar to Macy's or JC Penney) which has great bargains from time to time. The one store I hate to shop at here is Proximus - don't get me wrong, am very glad it's here but the lines are so long, they either need to staff up, or expand store footage or have more seating. The people at the help desk (located in the middle of the mall) are always very friendly and there's always some sort of goodies available. Also suggest that you go thru mall magazine (also found at the help desk) because sometimes there are great coupons and deals to be found!

There doesn't seem to be a "standardized" Delhaize shop model apart from the fresh produce being the first thing you see when going thru the gates, so I have learnt to take it easy and enjoy discovering the uniqueness of each Delhaize store unlike the US where a Wal-mart in Colorado is a cookie cutter version of a Wal-mart in Florida. There's also a parking garage attached next to the the shops, which is great and super convenient. There's also lots of spaces except if you go on the weekends- that is why I generally do my shopping on a weekday. BTW, Special mention must go to the awesome selection of tex-mex food variety found in this store! Especially sour cream - it's the only Delhaize I know of that has this item in Brussels.

Their layout for cold/ freezer goods is also a bit weird, in that those products are found in 3 separate place. So the lettuce is towards the entrance, the fish and poultry is towards back of the store and then the frozen vegetables are on the right towards the exit. There are also only 4 check-outs too, so always expect a long line to pay, if you decide not to use the self-pay line.

I am giving this shop 2/5 stars for convenience and proximity, and they normally stock most of the items that we are looking for on a daily basis. The missing 3/5? Well, this shop is so badly run that from time to time I swear not to shop there again. At times the shelves looks like the shops in Eastern Europe before the Iron Curtain came down, empty, chaotic.... The shop by the looks of it only employs students who haven't been trained and has no interest in their job, stacking shelves is something that is done when the shop is full, of people! It defeats me, why stock the shelves when the customers are already there? And this is not just a one time occurrence, it is basically every day. Another scary thing is that you often see highly reduced prices on perishable items that are approaching or on "last sell by date", poor management.... Management, are you there?
