No one, that's who. There were so many things I wanted to buy when I visited, but I just ended up with a to-go cup of bulletproof coffee, which is basically coffee with butter in it. I don't follow keto eating practices at all, but I do like a good cup of bulletproof coffee, because when it's made right, it's smooth and butterscotchy and delightful. The bulletproof coffee at The Veggie Wagon was all of those adjectives! There's a little produce stand outside of the store, which is quite cute and quaint. When you go inside, you'll see even more locally grown produce items. We were around for tomato and berry season, so that's what was available. There's lots of parking here on the side of the building, and picnic tables out front in case you want to stay a while and enjoy your goodies on site.

I felt like a kid in a candy store for the first time. This looks like the place to go to for your Mexican produce needs. There were bins of dried beans, dried corn, fresh nopales, fresh aloe vera leaves, tomatillos, peppers, Calabacita squash, prickly chayote squash, mamey fruit, rambutan, chipilin plants, herbs, and other exotic produce. In the back, you can get fresh coconuts cut for you. Some of the produce did not have labels so do your research and have an ingredient list ready before coming here. They were also sweet Mexican breads packaged in donut boxes and small clear plastic bags made from a bakery in Tucker, Georgia. If you're looking to be adventurous, they had seasoned dried grasshoppers snacks. There was one staff/owner who spoke English but other customers there were pretty nice in helping me figure some things out. They only accept cash, no credit card. We found out you can, right here in Wilmington, by signing up for a new local produce delivery service called The Produce Box. We signed up after skyrocketing bills at Tidal Creek had us reevaluating our grocery budget. Our friends in Raleigh have been doing this for a while and I guess it is a service catching on across the country....glad to see something as cool as this in Wilmington. What is it, you ask? $22 a week and you get a good size box of locally grown, farm fresh produce to your DOOR. Yes, right to your front step. Essentially, its the same stuff at the local farmers market, but delivered. We are simply amazed and excited each week when our box comes...to top it off, they throw in samples of maple butter, bbq, honey, etc and you get a friendly note from farmers and produce box coordinators with recipes and what is going on in their world. Financially, we did the math and you'd have to atleast spend $40-50 a week depending on the produce for the same price. Buying direct from farmers really does make sense.... Nothing we've done so far in Wilmington has made us feel so connected to the community as a whole. No subscription, cancel anytime and if you are on vacation you just login and "skip a week" Real easy. After doing this for about 6 weeks, we've seen our grocery budget get back to normal (probably less) and you really feel like you are part of something special going on.... Here are the boxes for this week (they change each week depending on what is in season and what is fresh) - and, they offer "stock up" options like if you want some cucumbers for pickling. The employees who are there are doing their best, but they clearly need more help. I'll keep coming back for the produce, but I'll be skipping the deli counter for now on until staffing improves and this gets addressed some day.

It's disappointing, especially given how well the rest of the store is kept. Hopefully management takes a look and brings them back up to the standard customers expect.

It just so happened to be their Christmas market and fair - with face painting, vendors, special treats and games. My little one could have cared less about the aforementioned happenings. She cares about playgrounds and this park had one of the best we've seen. It was crawling with kids, so even better for entertainment! She played for hours. There was plenty of space, nooks and crannies for kids to run and do their own thing. The equipment all looked in good repair and the park was very clean. Everything is surrounded by mature trees so the playground was shaded during our visit. As lunch approached, we walked over to the water for some calm & relaxation. There are a couple of boat ramps, though I believe I was there at low-tide as one looked inaccessible. There were also a couple of swings to sit and look out over the water. I noted a walking trail as we were leaving and would certainly return to see the rest of the park. I was very impressed with my first visit here.
