Some of the best ice cream I have ever eaten!…read more Last minute looking for an ice cream cake and Yelp came through with Stensland's. Made the short drive and picked up the cake. Once ready the cat was cut and everyone's eyes said the same thing.... This is AMAZING! Creamy ice cream, great flavor and the desire to shove your face down to lick the bottom of the bowl! Our second trip before heading back home was for an individual serving. 49 choices made it difficult but the Butter Brickle was something I could not miss. Bing Bar was the second. Both solid choices but the Brickle comes out on top. Do Not Miss the Ice Cream!

You may think you'll run into a language or cultural barrier, but my experience has been one of accommodation. If I'm looking for something along the line of say, herbs & spices, or would like to get recommendations on & product brand comparison, they will do their best to help you find what you're looking for. My ability to communicate grammatically correct in Spanish is at best, not good. But, I like to try. I've always felt that they appreciate my attempt's & they are neighborly in helping me along. Sioux Falls has quite a few Hispanic focused markets. Some will be stocked with typical items found & common in El Salvador. others, Guatemala, Honduras & some, Mexico. if you give it a chance, scope them out, it won't take long to discover the similarities, the uniqueness of others, but mostly I hope that you will see & experience that all of us want to feel welcomed. The best way I've found to succeed in this is to initiate & example welcoming behaviors that are important to you. Nikki's is one of those places. Cultural differences don't have to be looked at as barriers. Try looking at these as opportunities, instead. One last thing about Nikki's. It's not just a Market. They have an onsite restaurant that cater's to the local lunch crowd. And they do it very well. The menu offers something for everyone & is authentic. Their food is really, really good! -Lee T.

I do not know why this is listed in the Fruits & Veggies Category since they have no fruits & veggies that I saw with the exception of the canned variety. I would have gave them 5 stars but the shop is a smoking environment with smoking inside.
