Ah yes this is the ALDI for me. The folks working here are so friendly and kind. The parking lot is massive. The store is easy to navigate the aisles are wide. The shelves are stocked. This store is the reason I became an ALDI shopper. I also really enjoy the layout of this location. It feels more natural and efficient to start with produce and then work towards frozen foods. This store can get fairly busy. I've noticed that mid afternoon tends to be the best bet for a somewhat peaceful shopping experience.

Great products and prices; poor service and availability . I have been shopping here for The past couple of years and I've come to enjoy the products and prices. I have also come to enjoy some of the unique products and the many options they have for gluten-free items. I enjoy the shopping model that the store offers as a whole, offering great products and fair prices. However, the Aldi brand has become increasingly popular in this and other locations, but they do not appear to keep up with demand with products and service. While some items in the store are seasonal, special buys, and the other one time promotions, where it is understandable the quantities are limited, many staple items seem to run out regularly. I have found that shopping earlier in the day often yields better results, but even then sometimes it is difficult With some more popular items. What is really become frustrating over time is the level of support, particularly in available check stands. This location has six checkout lanes; I don't think I've ever seen more than three open even when there are sometimes six or seven people in each one of the lines. This is actually the reason that I was prompted to post a review today. While I do sometimes post reviews on large commercial retailers, this is something I infrequently deal as large supermarkets another chance are often fairly consistent and we know what to expect. However, it seems strange to me that with a business that has increased volume in sales there should be a natural increase in staffing. Today I stopped in to purchase just three items; that perhaps was a mistake on my part but it is what it is. As they enter the store I saw two lanes open with approximately 3 to 4 people standing in line at each register. As I got my items and walk to the front of the store, I walk toward the line with just two people standing; as I approached I was told by the cashier that she was closing. There was Just one other line open with three people waiting to get to the register. The frustration did not end here. I walked over and proceeded to stand in line at the other open register. I waited as a couple of customers were checked out, and as there was just one open register with 3 to 4 people now standing in line at it, the second checker (the one I started with) approached me, and asked me to return back to her line as she was about to re-open. It always seems very strange to me that a store would seek to reduce the amount of open registers when there might be three or four people standing in line at other open registers. In most every occasion, it appears that the staff six opportunities to get out of registers at Aldie as quickly as possible. As I left the store today, I noticed a near-full parking lot; I count no less than 60 cars in the parking lot. However, there appears to be just one checkstand open and possibly a second with multiple people standing in line pretty much at all times. Pretty much everyone I know enjoys the store and pretty much everyone I know has the same complaints. Just wonder when customer service will become a priority?

The owner is the only person I've ever seen working here. He is incredibly nice and I've seen him selections produce for elderly people who didn't want to get out of their vehicle. He's sent me home with extras that he needed to get rid of and couldn't sell for some reason. This is how I ended up with a giant bag of overly ripe bananas on him. I picked up a couple for banana bread and he just filled a giant bag and told me to give them away to my neighbors. The same day he also sent me home with half a dozen ears of corn and two super ripe avocados. In the past he's discounted a giant watermelon (and holy crap I think it's the best one I've ever consumed) because he had overstock and sent me home with 3/4 of a cantaloupe because he cut a bruised spot off of it. So, do I actually pay for things here? Yes, and they're super cheap. Often they're super delicious too. Yesterday I picked up 5 apples, 3 pears, a pile of non-overripe bananas, a pineapple, 2 tomatoes, and a jar of pear jam (no high fructose corn syrup in it, just FYI) for $13. Then he added all the stuff he had too much of. I think this guy has the best melons and pineapple around. Some of the produce is hit or miss. I went once and couldn't find any bananas and some of the apples were beaten up. You will not be able to fulfill all your grocery needs here or shop for super specific things, but it's not out of the way for me and I've been on a produce stand run lately. What I have picked up has been a good deal in addition to being tasty, and seriously, the owner is awesome. I rounded up to 5 stars just because of him.

He told us to get the watermelon because it was "so delicious". It was $4 and was tasteless. He also was not wearing a mask and he spent the entire time while we were checking out trying to convince us that COVID wasn't real. We will never go here again.
