This branch of Waitrose is a decent size and does include numerous counters including a Deli and a Bakery and of course also has quite a large cafe and scan as you shop facilities, in which you can use an in-store scanner or the mobile app. The staff seemed better trained in putting this through regular tills rather than the self-service ones, compared to other stores which have struggled in the past such as Wilmslow. The car parking area for the store is decent, of course, it is shared by the rest of the retail park, but I didn't have any trouble parking when I visited, perhaps it was because I visited reasonably late on a Saturday evening. The selection of frozen foods here was non-existent, and I found the free from range to be especially poor which was a shame, they did have a few nice Waitrose One products including various flavours of gelato, albeit on the pricey sides at £3 a pot. They did appear to have a few nice food counters too, such as a counter for deli, cheese and bakery etc. The regular gluten free selection was decent, they even sold Walkers Shortbread and Gluten-Free Hot Cross buns which was satisfactory. I did have a slight issue with the layout of the store at times, it was hard to find certain things I needed such as sausages. The store did also have a nice small home section, yet the store was slightly understaffed, even though those I did speak to seemed helpful, when I got lost around the store trying to find something they weren't always there which was a shame, although the store wasn't as badly staffed as some other supermarkets I have visited either such as Morrisons in Whitefield. This Waitrose store is a nice store in its' location and a rare one in the Preston/Lancashire area too, the free-form range is good and most of the store is satisfactory, and although it isn't the "best" Waitrose store, it is far from the worst either and I think deserves a solid three-star rating.

Car park gets very busy! Complimentary coffee with Waitrose card also!
