Please see my last review before reading my updated one. I went here for some groceries and one of the items I bought was their pizza which is located near the produce area. We thought we had dinner but we ended throwing all the pizza away. It tasted funny and didn't look so good. I'm glad it was only $5 and some change because no one ate it not even my dogs. Wife and I checked out the grand opening yesterday. Huge crowd of people which made for long lines during check out. The store isn't huge, but they seem to have a good variety of the usual grocery type products. One thing I was blown away by was thier prices. Everything was much cheaper than the other grocery stores that we normally frequent. They have plenty of Aldi store brand type products at a cheaper price, and the wife and I were more than willing to try them out. Bought thier coffee k-cups and the taste was great for the price. One thing I didn't like was the check out. The girl that checked us out just threw our groceries back in the cart. Even though they gave us reusable bags to use, she didn't use them. After paying, she directed us to a bagging area. This is where I had to remove all my items from the cart again, just so that I can place them in the bags. It did make for a quicker check out for the cashier, but it gave me double the work to unload the cart twice. I guess that's just one of the perks for cheaper prices. Another interesting tidbit was that you need a quarter to unlock a shopping cart for usage. After shopping, you are supposed to return your cart to the front of the store. When you connect your cart and lock it up, you pull your quarter out. I didn't see any of those cart return holding areas in the parking lot, so I think they expect you to return it to the front of the store. Overall we were really liking the store. Just bring a quarter, and some reusable bags to use. I didn't see any plastic or paper bags anywhere, so I'm not sure if they have those avaliable. read more

I went in there to buy a crate of strawberries. Needless to say, the strawberries looked disgusting. They did give me a big discount in consolation. I do want Aldi to be selling high quality fruit at all times. read more

If I could give this store a minus 100 I would. A few of us from my courthouse went over to do shopping after lunch and there were 2 checkout girls and we waited for over 20 minutes and got nowhere. This is the worst grocery store in the whole wide world and do not go there. read more

I was very excited to see that we were getting a new grocery store; something completely different from what we already have. This store was a terrible disappointment. Paying a quarter for a cart is ridiculous. Thankfully I didn't need a cart because I couldn't find much in the store that I was interested in purchasing. The quality of the products seems really low. Aldi gets two stars because the checkers are nice, friendly, and efficient. They can't help it that they're saddled with a ridiculous check out system. I purchased a bag of coffee beans, a jar of salsa, and a bag of tortilla chips. The chips were pasty and mealy, the salsa was very sour tasting and the coffee was undrinkable. Aldi claims they have a double-your-money-back guarantee, which isn't exactly true. They will give you your money back and then credit toward other products. After looking over the entire store, I didn't see anything else that I was interested in purchasing. I've been in the store twice - once where I purchased 3 items and once to return them all. I will not be shopping here again. read more

I like Aldi but some of their staff hmmm... not so much. Yesterday I went shopping and the cashier was extremely rude, and basically threw each and everyone of my items in my cart while checking out, not caring if she was damaging anything (Nobody was waiting behind me) everything was extra rushed. My bread was just dumped into the basket among other things. It's always the cashiers that work in the later part of the day that seem to be in a bad mood, and don't provide great customer service. I guess a smile can kill them! I rather they have a self checkout if I have to continue to deal with attitude. I would've rated it 5 stars if it wasn't for that. read more

Great products, good prices but bad service especially the cashiers! They just throw your groceries in the cart in a rush to finish things and they want you to go on the side and pack your stuff. Food for less, Winco, and even Costco have the same system of packing your grocery but never I felt rushed or a burden as a customer. I use boxes instead of bags for them to easily drop ng groceries in the box instead of doing things all over again. Not only once did I experienced this but several times and at one point a bag of brown rice burst open and got wasted because of the cashier's rush attitude! Don't they know haste makes waste and why do you have to do things twice when you can finish it at once. I also noticed they are not open for suggestion and a few times i told them I want my groceries in the boxes but the male African American employee just ignored me and threw my groceries in another cart. Same guy who burst open a bag of brown rice. Did he apologized? Nope! As a matter of fact he looked at me condescendingly and annoyed! I also noticed that the employees are not the friendliest people I've met. If you don't like your jobs don't make your customers feel horrible. Go find a place to work where it will bring you joy! read more

Up until Dec 29 2017 I would have given this store 5 stars on this day their true colors showed.In Nov I bought a cooking thermometer which was on sale for 9.99 so I thought I'd used it for Christmas I was cooking a 17 lb turkey so I prepared and I placed the turkey in the oven with the thermometer placed in the breast in the turkey the oven temp of the oven at 350 degrees after cooking for an hour I checked the bird and the internal temp was around 106,I thought that's pretty high so I started checking every 15 minutes when I went to check it twice and the second time I checked it ,it was reading HHH and then LLL I looked in the paperwork that came and had no explanation of Codes So checked the website that was on the back of the the paperwork which was given as customer service and I couldn't get into the website ,So then got the 800 number and it was an answering machine so I left my name and number with them twice on different days and never got an answer.so I decided to return the thermometer to the store.i went to the in Palmdale where I bought it and when I walked in and asked where I needed to go for a refund,I was told a the cashier So thought great I'll get some groceries I needed and return the thermometer everything seemed ok until I went to the cashier whose name was James with my stuff I paid for groceries and then I said i had a refund I needed to get for a thermometer that was bad so he scanned the the packaging and then he told me that I was getting back 5.56 plus tax so the total I getting was 6.56. So I asked if there was a restocking fee and he said no so I said if I got it on sale for 9.99 how is it that I'm getting back 6.56 .so he said that without a receipt I get back the prices that was scanned . I was stunned because the prices that was scanned should be more than 9.99 because it was no longer on sale but I was only getting back 5.56 plus taxes. Now tell me isn't when something goes on sale the price is usually lower then the regular price, so Aldi made a 4.00 dollar profit on a piece of junk that I bought and returned. Then to add insult to injury James said that he needed the cart that I had paid for when I finish with it so I told him that I paid a quarter for it and James said nice and loud "thats ok you can have it "as if I was wrongfully taking the cart I don't know why he was rude maybe because I'm an older person with limited income after such treatment I have doubts about returning and I used go shopping there often read more

Love Aldi's great prices, clean store, love the imported cookies from Germany, not to mention great customer service.

Not as full as I would like and the flies in the fruit are a problem. I know they are less expensive but you get what you pay for when it comes to produce and fresh meat. No need to shop this for me at least. read more

I went here one time and one time only. First of all carts gotta pay a quarter okay. But then you go inside and it looks like a mini food for less with boxes everywhere and I'm lost in trying to figure out what was what. It's too small and reminds me of a 99cent store. Lines were too long and I just left with nothing. This seems like a nice little store but I expected something nicer inside considering it's location was brand new and in a good spot in town. read more

Sat August 18 ,2018 Went to get cases of water at Aldis' store. There was a line of about 12 people and 1 guy working the register, then a gal opened and I should of went to her but stayed with the guy instead, MISTAKE!! He was in a hurry and rattled off cash or card I answered card, insert it now, didn't have it out yet, I like to see a total so can decide which one to use. Then he throws it all in cart and pulls it away from my hands , I use it for balance, he didn't care . I said some people don't like to be rushed you could open more registers. Man there are only 3 of us in the store. ( how nice for a criminal waiting for an easy mark). You could hire a few more people, not the way it works around here. His name was Aarin.I will make a point of going with the girls next time and it will be next month before I go back. What a disappointment. read more

Very friendly and helpful. Purchased an office chair and when I got it home if you had a broken part. Contact the manufacturer and they said that it would be 12 weeks because they were in the middle of a move. Aldi management opened another box and gave me the part. I tried it for the first time today. I love their low prices and good quality foods. It was weird for us to buy off brand but when we tasted the products they tasted great. I don't mind the cart and bag situation as long as I save money on quality food for my family. I think I will be coming here regularly but still get toiletries at Walmart bc the toiletries selection is pretty tiny. Food wise though it's got all the essentials. read more

Yesterday I drove to Palmdale to check out Aldi, it's awesome! I did our weekly shopping which is usually over $200 for $126. You have to get used to the fact that they have all their own brands, but it's high quality, owned by the family that owns Trader Joe's from Germany. 78 cent bread, 99 cent eggs, 33 cent Mac and Cheese, 59 cent tuna, great prices on fresh chicken and ground beef. It's exactly half an hour from my house, so worth the drive, and super bonus, there's a Krispy Kreme right next door. read more

Everything about Aldi screams hardcore cost cutting. I get that their business model is to offer rock bottom prices for customers, but the result of ultra low prices is a store that is downright depressing to shop in. You get the feeling that everywhere they could cut costs, they did, and that just lends itself to a very dull shopping experience, IMO. They also make you deposit $0.25 to use their shopping carts. I understand why they do this, but it really doesn't make me feel like a valued customer, and it also makes the store feel even more nickel-and-dimey than it already is. Bottom line: If you are simply looking for the lowest possible prices, and couldn't care less about the shopping experience, Aldi may fit the bill. Personally, I will gladly pay a little more per item for a less bare-bones grocery store. read more

Went there one time before today and didn't like it much... But decided to give them another try because the prices really are good. This time was different. I saw much more organic things and their meat and fish look vey good. Excited to cook their salmon tonight. I shop at albertsons and I spend over 100$ every time I shop... I got everything on my list plus TONS more for only 89$ at aldis. Will definitely be doing my shopping here from now on. Glad I decided to give them another try. read more

Love it! I shop here every week. I like the Happy Farms cheese & have come to love the Aldi Brands. If you go to a normal grocery store and pay .99 cents for a loaf of bred you are going to get the most bleached low quality bread available. You can go to Aldi spend .99 cents on their budget bred and it tastes like real quality bread. Aldi brands tastes as good if not better than some of the name brands and you are paying less and store brand price. Everyone in the store is super friendly and helpful. I'm in Lancaster and travel to Palmdale every week to shop at Aldi I have to pass other grocery stores to do so. While I do do 90% of my shopping here, some items that I just won't give up I have to go to other stores for (Sparklets water, Jiff Peanut butter, large bags of frozen fruit ect....) I'm so happy we have an Aldi in the AV! read more

Impressed beyond measure with the overall performance and appearance of this store. The clerks are efficient, productive and polite. The store has plenty of affordable healthy options for snacks and meals. The value is clear in the pricing and quantity. The store was merchandised like a miniature 'Costco' and that a compliment; they sell more than just groceries and it's isles are wide, clean and organized. I am confident they will do far better than their predecessor 'fresh n' easy' which was never fresh nor a good use of my time and far from "easy." I truly enjoyed shopping at Aldi's and the prices are great! An employee named Judy helped me so much when it came to looking for gluten free products. Gluten free is new to me so when she offered to walk me to different items - it really helped. The store is very clean and i like that they encourage you bring your own shopping bag. I'm relocated from L.A. so I'm used to bringing bags. It's helps our community's environment and keeps a stores costs down. I'll be back to buy produce and fruit, for sure.Oh by the way, it is a sister store to Trader Joe's...so that helps too. read more

Cute little store, prices are great! I purchased a detergent and fabric softener because I couldn't pass up the great price and since there's a guarantee I thought, why not? Let me just add I usually only purchase Tide and Downey. I must say the detergent and fabric softener were great. Also tried there meat, trail mix and up till now everything has been great quality and low prices without the long lines. read more

I love this store and always have good experiences. But today was bad. The worker AARON is so rude and disrespectful. Me and my mom were simply asking the prices for a ham (the bigger ones that were on sale) because the signs right under them were misleading and confusing. The "manager" AARON who was super unprofessional and rude literally didn't even want to look at us or help us. I don't know if he was in bad mood, but if he was, he definitely showed it. When he did respond, it was with major attitude. Immediately got on the walkie talkie, and told the cashier what happened. I honestly never write bad reviews but what Aaron did was not okay. If this is the way "managers" treat their customers especially customers who were being nice and just asking a SIMPLE question, I'm definitely not coming back. read more
