So I FINALLY made it to the infamous Aldi where I hear ur buck can go a lonnngggg way! It's true people it's true! I am not sure how they manage to keep their prices so low in a very inflated society but I ain't complaining!! I was about to get full meals and snacks here about a weeks worth for under $100 bucks! The layout of the store reminds me of LIDI a bit. I'm not sure if it was just this location but they were kinda low of inventory but I did get here late so that could have been why. If I had one critique it would be the checkout system. One line for all checkout stations it kinda makes things hectic. Also if a cashier checks you out the put your groceries in an Empty cart and then tell you to leave your cart them in doing that you have a bunch of folks standing around bagging their items near the door. It's a lot going on in that but it's still worth the trip if I can save a little change!

PROS: - large parking lot - they have the basics covered - good frozen pizza options - lots of fruit options - variety of cheese selections CONS: - very little veggie options - almost nothing organic - lots of processed foods - everything seems half stocked Decided to try this place out because one of my friends raves about it and said she liked it better than Trader Joe's. Okay, so I am not a fan of this place. Unless you like to eat processed foods there is very little options for you here. While they have the basic produce they have very few options and limited quantities so everything always looks half stocked. They have a good size frozen food sections with good pizza options and while they have lots of fruits they have very little veggie options and little to nothing is organic. And while there is nothing wrong with it, to me this is more akin to a glorified bodega and dollar general store combined with some added fresh produce. You can literally find the same things at both a bodega and dollar general. If you like off brand, processed, canned, or frozen foods and don't like to cook much then you can find everything you want here.

Not your regular supermarket. I would only shop here for smaller items definitely not a full shopping trip. A lot of packaged goods not enough fresh produce. While there two of their aisle were being restocked and employees had big cargo carts blocking the entire aisle. Remember to bring your own bags or you will be charged 6 - 10 cents depending on which bag you choose. Their checkout isn't so great the cashier just dumps your purchases into the cart not even the bags. I can see this being a future problem and long lines in the waiting. It's okay but definitely not a staple store for me.

Is the 30th and still selling products from almost 1 week ago SMH! Poor management and no consideration to customers at all .

Love their products , but I have to take always extra time checking dates on products , specially eggs , yogurts and some dry goods. Manager is very Rude and doesn't care at all .

You will find everything u need at ALDI

I love this local, family owned produce store in the Central Ave. Shopping area of the Heights…read moreneighborhood. It is small but has everything you need such as fruits, vegetables, some bread like Portuguese rolls, canned goods, eggs, milk, even cheeses and packaged cured meats like sausages and hams. No fresh meat or seafood but I go to Pampita Meat Shop (great Argentine and Americans cuts) and the seafood shop across the street for those. The price is great - I would buy 2-3 bags full of fresh groceries to feed two people for the entire week and more and the total still usually comes out under $50. When I was living on the other side of JSQ, I used to frequent another similar produce shop called "Mira Fruit & Farm" on JFK Blvd (I wonder if it's owned by the same person?) We are talking 4 grapefruits for $1, a package of blueberries for $1, a bag of 3 bell peppers for $1, 6 limes for $1 price range. Some things are pricier here, like bananas, which usually cost 69 cents or even 79 cents per pound when I can get it for 49 cents per pound at Shop Rite in downtown. Regardless, I like supporting small mom and pop businesses so I will continue to be a regular here! I like to juice at home often so this is a great place to source celery, cucumber, carrots, apples, ginger, lemons, beets at very affordable prices since I go through them quickly in large quantity. I have no doubt the owner of Young's Farm is Korean or at least Asian because they have a limited but good selection of Asian goods too like Korean Shin Ramyun and Vietnamese vermicelli noodles, fish sauce, sriracha, and jarred kimchi in the refrigerated section, etc. My tip would be to go there early on Saturday (before 9 am) because by the afternoon on Sat and Sun, all the freshest pickings will be gone. Also, while the prices are super cheap, look and pick carefully to make sure your box of berries doesn't have mold growing in it and try to pick the freshest one. Many of the packaged goods like berries, cherries, tomatoes that are outside the shop on the stall as "specials" are already in advanced ripe stage so eat within 2-3 days max. They are perfectly find to eat, just shorter shelf life. My guess is the store operates in a very similar way as some of these new delivery companies like Imperfect Foods and Misfits Markets do in terms of sourcing their products, by taking less "perfect" produce directly from farms and producers and resell at the store at cheaper costs. I always have good fun poking around what's available here at least every other weekend.

My wife had to explain to me that Aloe is also used in cooking. I have only known it for treating burns. They also have a lot of Goya products. The woman that waited on me today was very helpful. I had gone in looking for strawberries and blueberries and was unable to find them. She told me they would be back in stock in the next couple of weeks. It is a nice little fruit and vegetable shop for your last minute items if you are on the Avenue. They have a good selection and their prices are reasonable. As for parking, try the Dunkin Donuts parking lot right around the corner or you can go behind Burger King. They have a large parking lot though you do have to feed the meter.

The outside looked like an old fashioned deli/grocery with tables/stands outside for fruit and flowers. However, once you step inside you see a deli that looks like one of the nicer ones you'd come across in Manhattan's West Village. Based on the other reviews I've read below, it seems like this space has been renovated recently. The buffet table I've seen mentioned is no longer there. The shelves look new(ish) and the items on shelves are very organized. On top of that, the selection is impressive. There was an entire section of hot sauces including Siracha. On another shelf were some fancy low sugar bags of granola (that cost $13.99 *each*). It is a bit cramped when you navigate the aisles, but it I didn't knock anything over by accident so it's not bad. I snagged a bottle of water and was thrilled when the cashier told me it was only $1. I'm so used to going to Target or Shop Rite and having to pay $2 something for a water. It was cool to see even if Natural and Plus sells fancier stuff, not all their prices are high. I'd happily go back to Natural and Plus to grab a drink (and maybe some fresh cut fruit). However, I recently had a free afternoon and saw that, though the market had ended for the season, they were holding a special holiday shopping event on that day that sounded like it could be a great time. So, we took a rideshare up to the park to see what all of the praise was about. The park was large, spacious, and offered amazing views of the Hudson River and Manhattan skyline. For that particular event, there were loads of vendors covering the bulk of the grounds, though still leaving plenty of space to navigate it without running into other folks. The sellers spanned multiple types of businesses, but they were mainly high-end crafts, candles and soaps, gourmet foods, and baked goods. There were a few produce vendors, but most of the items were non-perishables, which I prefer in a market, personally. In addition to those tents, there were a few local restaurants and food trucks selling various goodies and my favorite cocktail bar, The Alps, was offering boozy refreshments. In fact, they were even partnering with a neighboring hot chocolate stand to infuse their rich drinks with some alcohol. I purchased a Cinnamon Bun cookie from Sweat Bear bakery, which was covered with a layer of sprinkled cinnamon and stuffed with a sweet glaze. It was heavenly! Overall, we were very impressed with the quality of the items being sold and the creative atmosphere exhibited. Walking around the festivities in the park made for a relaxing and enjoyable way to spend the day.
