They have a nice selection of local and organic products. Their prices are fair, if not low. I would like to see MORE stuff at the market. If I needed any more summer flowers, I would likely buy them here as well. They have neat stuff like jams, jellies, and honey, as well as meats and sausages and eggs. Stop in on a weekend, you won't leave empty handed.

At Janta's they have everything fresh Caribbean. The frozen selection is out of this world. They always have the appropriate food and spices for Indian holidays. I don't do Indian cooking (glad this market's right next door to the Sunrise Supermarket, since I do cook Chinese a lot!). I'm not Indian - my grandmother and 23andme agree that I'm 100% northern European. So there's a lot I can't comment on. So - They have a very extensive selection of Indian frozen foods - I'm always stocked up on saag paneer from there. Worth a trip to the store just for that. In the back of the store there's a large refrigerated room well stocked with fruits and vegetables, both familiar and exotic - I've been getting my ataúlfo mangos there all season. I had not been in DECADES -- but someone mentioned that they did a good chicken-fried steak, so I had to try. (I'm from Texas where CFS is part of the holy Trinity of Mexican, barbecue and CFS). Well, the CFS was pretty good, but I won't say great. Big, well-breaded, tasty and with good white gravy. But the sides were superb; I had fried green tomatoes and potato salad. I loved the chow-chow sauce combined with ranch dressing on the FGT, and the salad was very creamy and tasty. I'm not a potato salad snob; I've had it done many ways and I know some prefer one style over another....all I know is this went fast. Oh, by the way, it's a BIG meal. No person should eat all of that in one setting! I nearly forgot, I loved the cheese biscuit. It was very dense and so tasty. Hard to stop eating that before I packaged up about half my meal (and enjoyed very much the next day). Amenities-- they sell beer; even though I did not have that day, I know some meals I'd have loved to add a well-priced bottle. Service was great, friendly and responsive. I like the places that let me scan a QR code to pay and tip, and they had that. Also offered lots of desserets, both at the table and with a little bakery corner when you walk in/out, so you could pick up cookies, etc. At first I thought it was a bit pricey ($17 for most meat-and-two plates), but with the quality, worth it all. Sprouts Farmers Market is a chain of organic/healthy grocery stores. It is like a smaller version…read moreof Whole Foods or Earthfare (similar in size to a Trader Joes). You'll find an array of fresh produce, meats/deli, bulk foods (nuts, granola), and vitamins. When it comes to food, I think that more options are always a good thing. So, I welcome the arrival of this store. But, for me, it is mixed bag on whether Sprouts has an advantage over its peers in this category. For produce: I was impressed with the selection of items. It seems like they have an assortment of fresh items that I haven't seen elsewhere. For example, they had a large display of organic papayas -- something that isn't prominently sold elsewhere. The meats/seafood: Prepackaged items were priced around the same as competitors and they have store brand items. The meat case was more expensive than Earthfare. Bulk foods: This is an area where Sprouts excels. Larger selection than other stores. I didn't see as many prepared foods and there is no hot bar, pizza, or quick service foods. If you start delving into items, I found the prices to be a little higher on average. But, there are also store brand items that are unique to Sprouts and may be good choices. Also, if you are looking for things like kombucha, Earthfare is better for selection. Overall: A decent option for organic foods. Check them out and sign up for their rewards program.
