I love going to Aldi, however, I wish they all sold alcohol, but alas this one does not. Nevertheless, this one is great just like the rest.

The Nan bread was out (it often is). I told an employee and she went into the back and brought me 4 frozen packages. Great service!

Like visiting TJ's cousin, but is lesser known to Hawaii residents. This unassuming store offers…read morepretty much (almost) the same basic items as TJ's but has lower prices and special deals on housewares, toys and assorted random items. I get vibes of a big box stores, but on a much smaller grocery store scale. Aldi's offers their house band labels as well some national brand items. Like TJ's some items are seasonal so grab them when you see your favorite items. The cashiers sit on chairs and ring you up. The cashier at this location placed my items in a cart. You then pay & bag your items up. You then replace that cart with yours. Some of the stores with subpar customer service expect you to unpack and place your items in your cart after being rung up. Btw, all Aldi stores charge for bags so you might want to bring your own. Also keep in mind that Aldi charges 25¢ for use of a shopping cart. Customers like to pay it forward and pass in their cart to the next shopper which I think is great!

The employees are usually friendly and nice whether it's at the checkout line or picking up a curbside order. When I do curbside pickup order, my order has always been accurate. In my opinion, this temporary location is even better than the original as it's very easy to access and right along the Trolley Trail. You'll find a lot of summer staples here, mostly veggies when we went like: tomatoes, garlic, sprouts, garlic, honey, jams, and green beans. A lot of the vendors have the same things, which is fair because it's what grows in season. All of it is a little pricey, but supports local farmers which is worth it. In normal times, I prefer the OP market because that market has SO many things, including food trucks, coffee, breads, meat, etc. This one is much more sparse, and when my hangry toddler needed food we had to convince her of the deliciousness of broccoli sprouts (kinda worked, by the way). I've seen some select weekends jogging by that there are acai bowls and other goodies, but we missed out on our latest visit. Either way, a nice little market to visit on Saturdays in Brookside!

I'm updating my review of this PriceChopper because I've become a returning customer of the deli…read morebar, where I've been treated like a king. The special hot meal options here are great values: just over $10 for the chicken tenders (or fried fish or chicken) and 2 sides (I recommend the mashed potatoes) are very tasty and make a great takeout option. The salad bar: @$9/lb. it's nearly always well-stocked and fresh, with a wide variety of options and half a dozen dressings. But the BEST thing about the deli bar here is that it's staffed by two truly exceptional people: Dee and/or Jerry. They're personable and strive to ensure that we (their customers) get what we want. They tailor the servings to order with ease and skill, too. If you prefer to dine in, the ambiance is nothing to write home about. But I enjoy getting a good hot meal and maybe a salad that I select for takeout to enjoy in front of the TV news or whatever is on at the time. The deli bar is open until seven or eight p.m. I suggest calling and ordering ahead for large orders or catering. The other thing I like that led me to writing a 5-star review is the location. Just NW of 85th St. on Wornall Road. Technically, I don't think it's Waldo; it's a mile south. For me, it's Santa Fe Hills | Christ the King catholic parish. The hot food is seasoned well. It's 4-6 different side items every day, and I prefer the collards minus the bacon bits; it's tasty either way. I cannot say enough about the mashed potatoes (other than I want the recipe). This is a super-busy grocery market. Inexplicably, the deli bar is rarely busy, even when the produce department next to it is buzzing with shoppers. Hence this review to stimulate others to JUST TRY IT. I think of the $18-20 meal options nearby, and this is comparable food in hearty portions for $10 and change. Easy decision for me to return! Please say hi to Dee or Jerry and let them know you read about their deli bar on Yelp! Thanks. You won't regret it.
