The prices seems to be doubled from the stores but the fruit and veggies are fresh and tasty. There was one bag of Ranier Cherries left and I snagged them up! They were juicy and sweet, but so darn expensive. I asked about the price of their (seedless) watermelon and was told it would be around $10-$12 dollars. Now, this is the same size that you'd find in your local grocery store AND it had the #4032 store code sticker attached to each melon. Hmmmm! This 16oz local honey that I purchased for $11 better give me a pick me up! The owner and employees are very friendly. You don't have to ask for help, they automatically pick up your box and take it to your car, after checkout. I believe this is the same guy that used to sit in the front lot of the Price Chipper on 103rd, between State Line & Holmes. Will I return? Probably but I would get as much as I did the first time.

I get vibes of a big box stores, but on a much smaller grocery store scale. Aldi's offers their house band labels as well some national brand items. Like TJ's some items are seasonal so grab them when you see your favorite items. The cashiers sit on chairs and ring you up. The cashier at this location placed my items in a cart. You then pay & bag your items up. You then replace that cart with yours. Some of the stores with subpar customer service expect you to unpack and place your items in your cart after being rung up. Btw, all Aldi stores charge for bags so you might want to bring your own. Also keep in mind that Aldi charges 25¢ for use of a shopping cart. Customers like to pay it forward and pass in their cart to the next shopper which I think is great!

In normal times, I prefer the OP market because that market has SO many things, including food trucks, coffee, breads, meat, etc. This one is much more sparse, and when my hangry toddler needed food we had to convince her of the deliciousness of broccoli sprouts (kinda worked, by the way). I've seen some select weekends jogging by that there are acai bowls and other goodies, but we missed out on our latest visit. Either way, a nice little market to visit on Saturdays in Brookside!
