I have always loved Aldi's, but then my car broke and had to "buy" a delivery subscription. First I was gifted several forms to use. Most have no desire to do Aldi delivery service other then Instacart. However then I saw largest issue, rip off city!. Shopped at Aldi since I bought my home in 2014. However idea I am going to pay 30 cents or higher on everything just for some "hidden charge" not actual delivery or service charge but hidden charge on every item I want to buy tells me that even when I get my car running again I may not buy much ever from Aldi ever again. This is not a chain here for the people and communities but instead someone that would inflate prices to just inflate them because of how the person shops. Meaning I pay for the delivery, I pay for the shopper, so what is the "hidden charges" for but not a third party to rob me. Also "receipts" and "adjustments" I found to be form to "rob" yes "rob". Basically something will be charged that doesn't exist but since you don't get the store receipt you can't see what it is, then your mastercard gets hit with a "adjustment" charge. Another purpose I saw was also this form being used to make sure no matter what that you "don't get $2 off your purchase" or any discount period!!! if you used a coupon online to say get $2 off the service free. So adjustment charge is in that case to recoup the "shopped" amount back to what the receipt read and make sure you still pay full price for everything. Can I proof it yes, I have numerous receipts that can be compared with the AI's and they don't match. That said what a rip off. Can't believe Aldi would support this and not join Schnucks and so many others that demand "in-store" prices is all one pays at check out since as said "delivery charges" have nothing to do with the "shopped items" not the service fees which we pay separately at a ratio of 5% of the shopped bill amount which ends up a bit more when prices shopped where charged higher in a AI version then true local stores price which sold those items to us. Also other kicker is our receipt is not to be given to use even thought all laws require the retailor to provide us one. instead it is uploaded to Instacart and adjusted... how... never!!!!! Instead only adjustment you see is more charges to your mastercard even when you had credits coming back for items not available????? and not talking bag charges either. So off I head to Kwik Trip, milk is on sale there for $2.99, may be 14 cents higher but in truth it is way cheaper, don't have to pay $2.49 service fee nor increased markups in hidden charges. Ice Cream turns out to be cheaper at Sam's Club and Schnucks.. so same deal and no hidden charges. read more

One checkout lane open. Trying to force folks to self check. Bad enough you have to pack your own bags. Not worth the hassle

The biggest problem is that everything that is supposed to be cheap is always out of stock. Example a 6.25 whole chicken is almost always out of stock but the 15.00 isn't. When you go in with a list of 20 items and only 3 items are in stock there is a problem. read more

I've been shopping here 2 years, out of necessity, not desire (yay divorce). The store is clean and the employees are super friendly. Parking isn't terrible and it's in an ok spot in town. Here's what to expect: Bring a quarter for your cart and something to put your groceries in because you bag them yourself. If you want to feel good about yourself, give your cart to someone. People seem to like that. You can buy bags, bring your own, salvage boxes from them or just carry stuff out in your pockets....after you pay for it. Haul ass when you unload your cart, the cashiers are quick. It's become a challenge for me at this point to empty my cart before they can clear the belt. A halfway decent selection of wines and craft brews. Warm though, so you'll need to refrigerate it. I hear the 2 dollar wine is pretty good, I wouldn't know though. They have Leinie's and New Glarus in addition to crafts an Mexican beers. Prices about the same as other places. A random aisle in the center of the store that has things ranging from children left behind to grills and lawn chairs. I'd prefer they fill it with food, but it is what it is. Don't expect: Name brand food. Now and again you'll find something. Although they started carrying cookies that are exactly like Girl Scout cookies. That was a treat to find these. Carmel Delights on an Aldi price. Your organic fruits and vegetables to last more than a few days. I shop for weeks at a time so this is an issue for me. People (customers) to be more considerate here. In fact, it's worse. You know that person that blocks and aisle or lets their kids run around like mad. It's worse here because the building footprint is smaller so the aisles are narrower. Big meat selection. You get the basics, which are a good price, but it's nothing fancy (seasoned, marinated, special cuts etc) that you could get at a deli or butcher. And it's hit or miss, today, it was fairly picked through. Not much for an 'international' selection. They have a few things to make tacos or stir fry, pre made Gyro kits, but other than that, not much in that way. All in all, it serves my purpose. Keeps me fed while I wait out the aftermath of divorce and can freely shop at a mega store again. Or maybe I'll continue to be cheap and shop here. The possibilities are endless. read more

I have been going to Aldi more (rather than other grocery stores) during the COVID-19 outbreak and self-isolation recommendations. They have been so great! I love that they increased pay for their employees during this time- I will keep coming back to Aldi even after all of this is over because of the kind, humane treatment of their employees through everything. The employees are always quick, super friendly, and the store has been well-stocked in the mornings when I go. A few things are out, like rice, but that has been near impossible for anyone to find anywhere. I enjoy the "special finds" section- I got a $6 rug which matches our kitchen perfectly! Lots of great snack options for self-isolation too. I do wish they used less plastic in their packaging, especially with produce. I imagine that has something to do with their supply chain/shipping processes which keeps the costs lower. Overall they have been doing well with cleanliness, stocking, and customer service. ALDI is at it again. The selection and price cannot be beat! I walked into this location and felt like I was in a mini Whole Foods. They have a great variety of, well, everything! I love that the prices are super low and most of what they sell is organic. The store is organized and clean and modern looking. I love it here and will do a lot of my shopping here from now on. Oh, they also have a decent selection of organic baby food, diapers, clothes, toys, etc. read more

Low prices, high quality, and I don't think I've ever seen a grocery store staff work harder. Lightspeed checkouts, everything is usually in stock. They just need to hire a couple people to make it easier to deal with their growth. Overall awesome, 5 stars. read more
