This Aldi has a decent selection of items and tends to overall be an easy location to access. The biggest drawback is they don't have self-checkout lanes and they tend to have only two normal checkout lanes which run VERY slow with an above average wait compared to what I've experienced at other Aldi stores around the country. Grab a quarter and your own bags!! Well stocked store. Sometimes you find what you want and other times not. Fresh produce and large selection. Very consistent sliced meat and cheese selections. Along with frozen foods. Snack foods and candies are Aldi brand and very flavorful and high quality. They have a "new"item isle that always has something new to try. The household item uses are always fun to visit....new ideas and items all the time!!! read more

The selection was fine, shopping experience was great, but when we checked out, the check out girl was very rude. We are accustomed to self check out at our local Aldi so we were a little off on being so rushed through the line, since there is no check out option. She started ringing the second persons items with mine and when I said, wait this isn't mine, she snapped that the divider wasn't up. Well, #1 that isn't My fault, #2 they were hard to see that there were Duchess dive they were black #3 you are rushing us through so quick I didn't get a chance to stop you. Then as I'm bagging up my stuff while the 2nd person (we were together and shared a cart) is checking out she snaps I can't bag my purchased items while she is checking out the 2nd person. I've already paid for my items I can do what I want with them. What does she care if I accidently bag one of the 2nd person's items? I'm not holding up the line since she is still in the process of checking out #2. It was ridiculous. She spoke to two 50 year old women like we were 2 years old! Does Aldi have a competition on how many people you can get through the line in 5 min? I hate it when there are long lines and one person holding it up, but nothing we did was holding up the line, at all! She was rude and arrogant. We are tourists from MN where we have lots of Aldi stores. I found some sweet tea and Blue Plate mayo. Hope its just as good as Dukes. The prices were a little higher for raspberries here. Found a box and didn't use a cart. No self checkouts here but they opened another lane. read more

There was a lot of chatter with folks around here about the arrival of an ALDI, especially from those have moved here from an area that has one of these stores. I lived 1 mile from an ALDI in TN but only visited that one twice. I'm not a big fan, but we were next door getting our oil changed so I figured, why not. ALDI has been steadily growing as a grocery chain across the world. The brand may have started out as a German venture, but it now has 10,000 locations spanning the globe. 2,000 of these are tight in the US scattered out across 36 states. This one is shiny, clean and well stocked in a pretty good size standalone building with more than ample parking. If you've never been to a. ALDI the experience is pretty universal. Bring a quarter to feed the shopping cart, which you get back when you return it. Bring bags, boxes, or something to pack your purchases in, and they do sell some but most being theirs. They stock general groceries, a decent selection of veggies but not lots of fruit, meats or frozen foods. But the have a lot of store branded items at low prices but be aware that they are not always cheaper than Walmart, fir example. Took another chance today hoping to get into aldis..it was crowded but nothing like yesterday..I love the store its huge and the produce was so fresh looking..and of course one of the best things is Aldis Finds, lots of cool things..I spent a lot more than I intended but that cheese aisle was awesome as was the chocolate aisle..I got a lot of things, new to me ,to try.. I also got fish which was a good price, infact all the meats looked good.. I would still need the regular grocery for some things I didnt see here but you could definitely do weekly shopping here if u dont need lots of different ingredients... spices etc..I will make a list go here first and if I dont find it all then get the rest at Publix..I did see ppl stocking and they were very friendly as were the checkers.. read more

I love ALDI in Foley Al. I had an awful experience for the first time because the mgr Nicole was rude, rushing me, ordering me to do this and that. I needed to use cash in addition to my debit card which I clearly showed her. she said once I put my card in, it's too late. ALDI makes you put your card in and approve payment before the total. I wanted to watch the prices and she is telling me to answer questions on the keypad in a rude and condescending manner. I was ordered a lot. Nicole said she is the store mgr and refused to give her name at first because the receipt said Andrew. Her attitude is very poor and I observed her treat other customers bad and they commented to me when leaving. She said it was all my fault and if I want to complain, call corporate. That statement told me that corporate allows this horrible behavior for speed and efficiency reasons, or so she said. I needed to use a combo of cash and card to avoid insufficient funds. She offered no workaround and walked off from me. I can spend my money elsewhere and be treated with respect. read more

This Aldi seems smaller than the one I went to in Texas. It is clean. The staff is nice. Prices seem reasonable. They have a few home good items also. I definitely still have to shop elsewhere to get everything for the week. I am not keen on having to bag my own groceries, but that is because I have a toddler. It does make the lines go quicker though. If it was bigger, I would probably shop there, but it is good for tourists. read more

Sunday 12/3/23 my husband and I went to ALDI store in Foley Alabama. I went to use a restroom that a male black assistant manager had just come out of. When entering I found the toilet seat was covered in urine. I immediately left and went up to checkout counter where I found this manager speaking to a young male cashier. I politely stated excuse me before reporting the condition of the bathroom. I was appalled the manager said absolutely nothing. I then stated it needed to be taken care of right away. Before departing the store I did find a female assistant manager to explain what had taken place. By reporting this to her I am hoping higher management was made aware of this incident. read more
