In fact, it had the complete opposite effect on them; from viewing the trees, given an apple growth lesson, learning how apples are pollinated and viewing the bees, learning how the apples are sorted and viewing the large washing/sorter machine and seeing how the apples are stored in the large refrigerator. We enjoyed our lunch while eating apple donuts and drinking apple slushes. We spent time at the playground before departing back to school. It was so exciting to see homemade jams, freshly picked peaches and cider. I ended up getting the cutest soy eucalyptus candle, a bunch of ciders, a measurement shot glass, kettle popcorn and organic bug repellent. All things I never knew I needed, until now :) I wish this shop was bigger and more expansive but I'd be in trouble because I'd end up buying more than I bargained for. The home made cider was incredible. They made it into a slushee and it was so good, ended up getting two cups full and then two for the road. It was also neat that the cider didn't need to be refrigerated, making it so much easier to transport cross country. The staff here was also super friendly and welcoming which also is an added plus. Highly recommend stopping here if you ever find yourself in Sullivan, Illinois!

We got one of their apple donuts and omg, it was incredible!! I don't think I've ever had an apple donut so good and so fresh And it was the middle of the afternoon! All of their baked goods look wonderful. As we perused around the store I knew I had to get some jam and cheese to bring home. They are located near the 6th street entrance into the La Brea Tar Pits and LACMA. The fruit combinations vary as you can choose from mangoes, watermelon, cucumbers, pineapples, coconut, honey dew melon, jicama, and more. The flavors of the fruits are enhanced with a squeeze of fresh lime juice, Tajin, and Chamoy (I usually only get a little bit), and a little salt. The cup in this post costs $8 but I've also seen them put together a large container for $10, and believe me, you can't beat that cost for healthy eating options and snacks in Los Angeles!

My grandma loves to come here and insisted that I needed to come here while on my trip, and I am so glad I did! They also sell soaps, honey, and other products in their little shop. The farm animals are all very friendly and sweet. We even got lucky and got to buy one of the last bunches of strawberries! I am so excited to eat my fresh raspberries, cherries, strawberries, and zucchini. Biggest thanks to the Kern family for a memorable visit!

It was cheaper but the experience was a nightmare. First they charge for the pickup fee, hold the order, and use of bags. Worst of all you had to scan a code on a smart phone( which I don't have) and you cant call the store directly. So I ended up walking into the store and telling who I was . Curbside parking was horrible and the girl left cart of groceries for me to take out to my car in horrible paper sacks. NEVER AGAIN!!! I will shop aldi's but will no longer use the online grocery pickup very rude, awful, and I will not do this again as they take fees out of your debit card. NOPE!!! Shame on you Aldi's I will shop there but the online grocery service is a joke to use and the staff was RUDE!!! Very disappointed. Never will I use this service again
