This ALDI location is an acquired taste. It's an interesting urban experience. I never feel particularly relaxed in this part of town and at this store. It's one of my least favorite locations, I seldom stop here. AMBIANCE: Your typical ALDI experience and layout. A lot of shelves are disorganized or actively being restocked. It's a constant work in progress. INVENTORY: Seasonally, you can find a lot of fun holiday merch. There is extensive Christmas inventory all marked down. You can find New Year Eve party box with decor and cheesy must-have hats, crowns. I certainly purchased one, gotta have it or else is it even a holiday?! AOS (Aisle of Stuff) is a must stroll for random finds bringing you all the joy. You can find 2026 calendars. You can find cat advent calendars. You can find Lego-like knock-offs for gifting. You can also find discounted books! For instance, Crash by the trending Freida McFadden is an option here but sold out at other ALDI stores. It's a very thrilling read! Mundane inventory is lacking big time. I was shopping for NYE charcuterie and the options were scarce. There were much less cheese options than at other AlDI locations. Lunch meat really looked questionable. Some salami pieces were brownish. I couldn't figure out if it was frostbite or spoilage. In any case, this inventory shouldn't be on the sales floor. Overall, I found one thing I was looking for, and settled several times. I plan to go to other ALDI stores. SERVICE: Service here is never especially good. During my last visit I was barricaded in the aisles twice by employees. Once the employee was stocking AOS, blocked me from browsing the shelves. Second time I was trapped in the pasta aisle as the employee had a passionate discussion with the customer. These instances were annoying after a long day. ENTRANCE: The store is accessible from Euclid and Carnegie Avenues. The entrance from Euclid Avenue may require a U-turn (not permitted). The entrance from Carnegie is a little sketchy and is often obstructed by the delivery vehicles. I find both inconvenient. The parking lot and entry are quite sketchy in the evening. Overall, this store is good if your shopping list is simple and you live in the area. If you're looking for something in particular or want product variety, this is not the place. After my most recent visit, I will visit other locations before NYE to get everything I want. read more

This Aldi was my go-to grocery spot back when I used to live in Cleveland. It did require having a car because it's kind of just in the middle of Euclid avenue and the public transport in Cleveland is poor at best, so I only started shopping here after I bought a car in 2020. All this said: The prices here were the best of any grocery store that I found in the city. The quality of the produce was actually fantastic too, even better than some of the other stores closer to me (including Dave's market, which is a nice local grocery spot!). They had a great selection of seasonal things too both including produce (e.g. some of the most delicious cherries, grapes, peaches, and plums I've had), as well as snacks in general (e.g. well priced Halloumi cheese, omg!!! and smoked salmon, chips, cookies, etc.). I could almost always get 100% of what I needed at Aldi, so I would really only use other stores if there was something very specific I needed, or just for convenience. Really the only other store in Cleveland that I thought surpassed Aldi re: quality was Heinen's (the downtown location), but they had much higher prices too. Overall really miss Aldi -- now that I'm back in Austin, there is an Aldi but it's way up north so it's far, thus I really never shop there now. I miss it, it's a great resource! As a side note, to those who've never been: what I'm told is that Aldi is a sister-company to Trader Joes; supposedly it was started by one of the co-founders who had a different vision for work flow. Aldi's stores have fewer overall employees (I usually see like 1-2 cashiers, and maybe 1 person or 2 on the whole grocery store floor). The checkers do check you out, but you bag up all your groceries yourself in the back of the store, they don't have store baggers. You can buy reuseable bags, or bring your own. This particular Aldi also has quarter locks to keep carts from vanishing, i.e. to get a cart, you insert a quarter to unlock the latch that connects it to the rest of the shopping carts. When you leave the store, you get a quarter back when you re-latch the cart onto the chain of other carts (incentivizes bring it back as well).s read more

In regards to your store located at: 7500 Euclid Avenue Cleveland, Ohio 44103 It is like every other month I have to compain about this store. It is one of the worst stores I have ever shopped at. I prefer to go an extra mile to you competitor. I just spent over $100.00 for a shopping cart that was 20% full when several years ago I use to spend $80.. and ahad a cart full of food. Had to use the bathroom and they closed it just for employees only. My suggestion to the public, let their employees buy theier high priced food and go shopping somewhere else. The management was talking about people abusing their bathroom while they got a security guard standing at the door armed to the teeth. So obviously it's not a sfae accomodating store. Being a Californian through and through, I really wanted a Trader Joe's nearby but Aldi's was closer. I'm now a converted fan of Aldi's, and I'll definitely miss her in the Bay Area. Anyways, to me, Aldi's is a much more more affordable, self-branded 'off-brand', market-like grocery store. The store is definitely on the smaller side, with less options, so it isn't overwhelming. They have branded items, but their best items are their own, European branded items. They also have weekly finds on household items and that sort that people really love; they definitely have their own following. Everything here is so affordable, and for the most part, their produce is really good quality for the price. A few things to note: To get a shopping cart, you have to put a quarter deposit down and then return the cart afterwards to get your quarter back. They also don't have paper/plastic bags at the checkout, only boxes you can use (so very reminiscent of Costco). They also sell out of items really quickly. A lot of the more 'popular' items are on rotation, or are in the weekly finds, so you might not always get the items you want. I'll just list a few items I really like at the moment: +Lobster Roll Dip: Seems to be a weekly find, so might be hard to find, but I love it. It doesn't taste like a lobster dip, but it tastes good. Very mayo-y, with celery bits, and chunks of lobster. Tangy and good with some kettle chips. +Mama Cozzi's Toasted Ravioli: Oh gosh, I'll definitely miss her. This is absolutely delicious and an indulgence. Throw some in the air dryer and you have a crunchy, cheesy ravioli. So good. +Their bread in general: All cheap, and good quality. I've tried their loaves, I've tried their hawaiian bread knock-off, and it was very similar to the original. Overall, I'm a fan of Aldi's! read more

Do not go to this Aldi. This worker was extremely rude to an elderly and disabled man because he didn't have the "common sense" to put a divider after his order. He couldn't access the divider as he was using his cart to support himself. The woman behind him called her out for her behavior and she became irate and reached over the counter at the woman and cussing. Said she didn't "give a f*ck". If she don't give a f*ck then why is she still employed at this store?? I can't believe she wasn't immediately fired by the manager standing there. The manager did nothing and just asked if she is buying her stuff or not. That worker is getting paid more than other grocery store workers and she's being rude to disabled senior customers? I shop at Aldis and Trader Joe's. The difference between these 2 retail grocery behemoths is really starting to blur. I am seeing a lot of crossover in their product lines. Oh and if you need any kitchen appliances, they have been of excellent quality at a fraction of the price. I love the get in get out mentality of this place. read more

So, swinging in on a Motorcycle to Aldi's is apparently not very common. I got stares. I got thumbs ups. I also had a guy ask me for money. (not as cool as a thumbs up). Anyway, I brought my handy-dandy bag with me and entered in Aldi's. This Aldi's is much like all the other ones. The inexpensive chips and snacks greet you when you walk in, and as you meander down the aisles, you're hit on each side by non-name brand and occasionally name-brand foods! Aldi's has a great center rack with household/interest products, although I've found this particular one seems to be pretty well ransacked every time I stop by. Overall though, this Aldi's, like the others, is Amazing! Inexpensive food, encouraging patrons to bring their own bags, and they do have pretty much whatever you need. This may not be my favorite Aldi, but since it's an Aldi, it's still pretty awesome in my book. read more

Aldi is one of the (very) few advantages that living in Cleveland has over living in Denver. This place is a must stop for any grocery shopping list. The most obvious advantage to Aldi is the price... groceries here are, overall, much cheaper than anywhere else. There really are some ridiculous deals here. Orange juice, cheese, canned goods, and produce are especially cheap. They only sell so called off brands of things, but they all taste just as good as the overpriced name brands. The produce generally looks pretty good, though definitely take a look over the packages of peppers, tomatoes, and onions as occasionally there can be a rotten one hiding inside. The biggest drawback is the lack of selection and the ever changing selection... The selection is small as the stores in general are small, but they use the space wisely with stuff packed in on stacks and pallets and little shelving. The stuff they sell tends to change often, which can be frustrating when you can't find that awesome thing you found last time. Checkout is a bit odd here as well. First, you have to put a quarter deposit down to get a shopping cart. This is not really much of a hassle, but is just strange... I don't see the purpose other than making sure people return their carts to get their quarter back. Also, they don't have paper/plastic bags at the checkout, so bring your own, buy one of their cloth bags, or be prepared to have a trunk full of loose groceries. The cashiers here are very efficient... maybe too much so. They really move fast, just kind of throwing stuff into the cart at the end of the checkout with little regard for glass or squishable items like bread or produce. ALDI's is one of those stores I never thought I would find myself talking about. However, after having tasted their bacon-wrapped filet, I am hooked. How a steak that costs $1.89 ($2.50 at Walmart) can taste better than a $50 restaurant steak is beyond me. I've eaten at a lot of great steak places (consulting lends itself to that experience), but this home-cooked filet from ALDI's really rates among them. This store knows what it wants to be and lives up to it - low cost, high value. Guess I better save my quarters, so I can rent a shopping cart next time I stop in. Make sure you check the expiration date before you buy because not everything is super fresh. I bought a package of porkchops the other day, and 1/3 of the package had already went bad by the time I opened it later that afternoon. Although the prices are still cheaper than normal stores even with the bad few chops, you do have to be extra cautious to make sure you don't get sick. I think the best things to buy here are probably the snacks and non-perishables. These are less likely to be bad when you open them. I do like Aldi's quite a lot though, overall, just based on the amount of savings you can earn. It's almost quite literally half the price of the big stores. I'm absolutely a fan of Aldi. It is not, however "as good as it gets." The prices here are really quite good. Everyone should know that nearly everything in the store is not a brand name; it is Aldi's own in house brand. Realistically, all of the products that I have tried are as good as if not better than the national brand name. Instead of say Multigran Cheerios ($3.49), they have Crispy Oats ($2.49). There are so many great things to get from Aldi. Just recently, I got Haas avocados for $0.49 each! Most people say the produce at Aldi is hit or miss, but this location seems to do a good job of keeping a decent selection of fresh produce at good prices. Some other good finds: Whole Wheat Bread (1.69), Canned corn (0.59, really good), individual chicken pot pie (0.59), or Garden salad (0.99). One of my favorite finds is their chocolate, five bars of imported german chocolate for 1.99. It looks just like the Trader Joe's Chocolate! Personally, I think the Trader Joe's chocolate is still better, but for the price point, Aldi wins (note: I'm comparing it to TJ's since the two companies are quasi-related, but TJ's definitely targets a higher socioeconomic group). Personally as someone from New England, I found that their New England Style Clam Chowder to be really below par, even compared to other national brands. It may be personal preference, but I think the Aldi version has too much of a cream flavor. Also, it's really important to actually take the time to read the ingredients and nutritional information. Aldi is not one of those super health conscious stores, but you can certainly find good wholesome foods there at generally unbeatable prices. It's in Cleveland, and as a person who is not from around Cleveland, I'm not sure if it is standard practice for the security guards to all wear bulletproof vests. It definitely makes them look a bit scary, but they've always been nothing short of extremely kind, courteous, and helpful in every encounter I have had with them. Overall Aldi is a great store, and it is right next to a HealthLine stop (Euclid & E79th) and using the HealthLine makes it a stone's throw away from Case Western. If you don't mind its quirks, it blows Dave's out of the water any day of the week. read more
