I had a ton of nerves when I first arrived at the studio but from the moment I stepped through the studio door into the unique, secluded, boutique vibe the nerves melted away. James' arrangement advice and creative ability with production just instantly inspires confidence. The recording process itself was exciting, fun and creative. I didn't feel the usual 'red light syndrome' type pressure that you can feel in some studios and never felt like I was being watched or rushed. I was so happy with that first single that I've been back in 2009 to record an album and in 2011 to record another single. The sound that James pulls from his own handmade preamps and other gear just continues to blow me away along with the space, light and shade in his mixes. The finished songs never fail to sound better than I'd ever imagined. I can't recommend the experience and result more highly to any of my fellow musicians out there wanting to record and release their music.

Out Loud is one of the finest rehearsal rooms in Brisbane. It boasts six large rooms, two with full…read morewidth mirrors so a band can rehearse and take note of their on stage performance. The gear supplied is top of the range, from the PA system to the cables everything supplied is going bang for your buck. The staff are always friendly and very knowledgeable if you have any issues with the house systems and will help you set up if you're new there. There is a kiosk with a supply of the basic gear like strings, cables, batteries and picks and a shop selling some food for the famished. They also provide a microwave and a communal fridge if you've brought your own supplies. Out Loud is a non-smoking inside but provides a covered outdoor area. Once a month they have a live session promoting all ages events, they are particularly interested in putting on shows for those in high schools. They are one of the more expensive rehearsal spaces in Brisbane but worth the money out of the band kitty. Costs: Weekdays: 10am - 5pm - $17 an hour Weeknights: $70 for 4 hours Weekends: $60 for 4 hours

I've had chronic lower back pain, have the worst posture ever and have been working long nights for awhile now and it's been building up and resulting in a ton of stress and tension, stiffness and overall fatigue. I've had massages before and nothing really worked at loosening up the tension in my back for longer than a day. Linda doesn't provide typical massages--she genuinely figures out your personal aches and pains and focuses her work in your problem areas. She is exceptional at diagnosing exactly where my problem areas were and even better at explaining what's going on in your body which made the experience a lot better than just your typical massage. I was able to learn a lot about how my habits affect my general well being. It goes without saying that a 30 minute session with her relaxed and rejuvenated me.
