BUT DO NOT GO HERE FOR FOOD. It was pretty clear when we got there that it was a bar, and that the food would be minimal - but we didn't expect it to be as bad as it was.
We ordered a lasagne al ragu which tasted boring (I am pretty sure I could make a better one myself, I should expect better from Italy), a spaghetti al mare which turned out to be undercooked risotto with frozen seafood and it looked like cat's vomit on the plate, and the schnitzel, which was as hard as a chip, inedible, served with a pathetic excuse of a salad with dried out carrot and limp lettuce. After a complaint, this was replaced with chicken bits which looked more like old mussels with a bit too much spice.
The service was pretty terrible also, there were only three tables in the restaurant, and the main waitress did not serve anyone without them motioning to her, and the service was slow and many mistakes were made. We asked for water, which didn't turn up, and then when it did, it was a tiny plastic bottle, barely enough for two, with only two glasses where there were three people on the table (and it was clear it was water for the table).
One of the tables in the restaurant were clearly good friends of the owners, and she paid far more attention to them than anyone else. She was giving them hugs and kisses, and while this is not acceptable to start with, she didn't wash her hands afterwards, and then continued to make drinks and serve food. She also was far more interested in lighting the candles for the tables than serving her customers.
At the beginning of this review, I said don't go here for food, but really I would suggest you don't go here at all. There are plenty better restaurants in La Spezia that are 3000% percent better and half the price.
