For…read morecontext, I have over 3,000 hours of training plus a 500‑hour specialization in colour and cuts from Montreal, so I have a solid sense of what a professional learning environment should look like. Unfortunately, the experience was disappointing from the start. The space was extremely chaotic and noisy. Students were loud, unfocused, and constantly socializing over clients. It didn't feel like a training environment at all. I even had to ask them to quiet down because they were chatting over my head while cutting my hair. The haircut itself was poor, and even simple beard‑trim instructions were mishandled. The instructor offered very little guidance and didn't step in to correct obvious mistakes. My friend's haircut was even worse -- genuinely upsetting to see. The one bright spot was Miranda at the front desk. She was calm, elegant, professional, and genuinely welcoming. She was the only person who gave the place any sense of order. Overall, the service and training quality were far below expectations. A+ for Miranda. Unfortunately, the rest of the experience was an F.

Popped in as a walk in; for a bleach to get Spring ready. She was chill, great conversation as well as knowledgeable and detail focused. Incredibly pleased with the results. Highly recommend this multi faceted Stylist.

I explained to the student what had happened and what my expectations were. She was awesome. Great listening skills. Her boss/owner came by to check up on what she'd be doing for me. I explained again that my cut last month was crooked. He refused to listen. He told me it was fine. He then explained to the student how to colour my hair. Despite being a recent graduate of the program, she had no idea what it means to "pull the colour through"..... It took her over 90 minutes to apply colour to my shoulder-length bob. She didn't do as the boss suggested, which is, colour my roots, let sit, then "Pull it through!" She told me she would let this colour sit for an hour. I said, "It's already been sitting on most of my head for 90 minutes. That's way too long. The boss came over and agreed. She waited 30 minutes, then washed it out. That was the slowest wash ever. Another 20 minutes. Again, students don't wash with vigor. As she combed me out, I pointed to the uneven length. She asked her boss to supervise. He just pulled it up and snipped it off, then left in a huff. She blew out my hair. Very nice! I pointed out that my left side was still too long. She called over the floor instructor this time. She pulled up that piece and zipped it off. Then hurried away. It was still too long. I left to pay. I was pissed off that I was CHARGED for a haircut. The dye was left on for waaay too long, so it looks phony instead of a natural colour. I regret tipping , but the student was so nice. I went home and properly cut my hair. You see, I actually know how to do this. I've been cutting my own hair for 42 years.

Great service and kind staff. I'm pretty fussy about my hair and they really did a great job…read more Already booked for next time.

It's a school. Not a fancy salon. Keep that in mind!…read more I took my mother for a mani pedi day, and it's kind of ghetto. The old location was a lot nicer. This is more like a front for drugs type of salon. The girl that did my nails, bless her. She sanded right through my natural nails and now they look like meth hands. The polish chipped off the same day, because she didn't clean the oil off from the massage. Rookie mistake. The pedicure was pretty good actually, but I definitely got more than I paid for. The student had quite the ample busom and rubbed them on my feet constantly. I didn't know how much to tip her afterwards? I actually graduated from this school in 97 and I like to go back and check it out and I really hope I hadn't destroyed someone's hands when I was learning! You get what you pay for.... ;)

Its not that the…read moreteachers are whats wrong with the school, cause really that's the only thing they have going for them. The school is way too small to accommodate so many students comfortably. the school is way too expensive to deal with the crowded drama, not to mention not having a spot to work on anything. if your a client well Each to their own but id recommend somewhere that is at least a bit more classy, and for potential students to pay 14000+ tuition at this academy for 10 months of schooling isn't worth it.

The young stylist did not introduce herself. She was a bit timid. She asked the pre-requisite questions. Very pleasant person She washed my hair, but she could have been a little more vigorous. I got a "wee" scalp massage. She was gentle as she brushed my hair. I appreciated this as a nice change from my last stylist. She cut my hair EXACTLY as I asked. Her instructor checked her work. AOK! She then proceeded to give me a blow-out. It wasn't really as smooth as it should have been, so she flat ironed it. When she was done, her instructor gave her the "nod". I guess she passed. I was not offered a mirror to see the back of my hair. She could have exuded a bit more confidence. I'm actually glad she didn't "natter" the whole time. It was $25.00. You are supposed to ask the checkout to add your tip amount to your card because the machine doesn't have a tip function. I guess you could leave cash. I will do that next time. Who knows if that tip made it to my stylist's pocket. I have no way to ask for her next time as she didn't tell me her name. It's a clean space with nice wall art and music from the 70's and 80's. (They must have seen me coming. Hahaha.) For that price, I'll be back.

I'm not sure what any of them did all day, I think I was the only one who actually tried to work. One time when they had a "runway class" and the instructor never showed up they asked me to teach it. I was a receptionist, and had never even attempted a runway walk. "They won't know the difference." I was told. I don't know what they are up to now, but I wouldn't trust them based on my experience. So many thumbs down.

Serene did tell us that we had the choice to use our own photographer for portfolio photos, but if we used their service, and pay their price which is higher than anyone else ($895 + GST), our daughter would receive additional photo shoots at no charge while she is registered with them. After doing some research, it did seem like a good deal on their end, if we got several photo shoots at their price compared to 1 photo shoot at with another photographer. Since we signed up and paid over 3 months ago, we tried to contact several times to receive these photos, but each time got the run around. We have contacted several people included Better Business Bureau. Since then, all we have got was a false promise to call us back the next day, then 3 days later, we received low quality, unfinished photos with "not for reproduction" in red writing through the middle of each picture. It appears that to avoid any legal action, they have sent us what they figure will fill their obligation. However, who pays a low quality, unfinished photo with writing??? and waits over 3 months to get them? Each time we have phoned them, they had no clue who we were, and no indication that they were trying to solve any issues, as each time we started from the beginning again. The Office had to talk to the Photographer then told us to talk to the photographer, then the photographer told us to talk to reception. We did not sign our daughter up to "Be famous", we signed her up for a hobby but we have realized that our money that spent between the "registration fee" and "photo shoot" were a waste of money, as this business seems to only care about taking peoples money and providing any services or products that they tell you they are going to provide. A company that does value their customer and clients, do not conduct themselves in this manner. In my opinion, anyone looking to explore the modeling industry for themselves or for child SHOULD NOT go to the place.
