I've always had friendly service here too, plus they take credit cards, which still seems rare in The Netherlands. (They do charge a small fee I think though, for a credit card, like a quarter? Debit/pin cards are free) This store is huuuge too, with a liquor store and drug store on the first floor. This is definitely the biggest Dirk I've seen. It gets pretty busy here, so be prepared for an occasional restocking cart in the aisles and a lot of other shopping carts, but that's probably because it's way cheaper than the nearby Albert Heijn.

They've expanded the store a lot too, since I was last here in the 1990s. There's now a much large alcohol section, and a lot of space for fruits, vegetables, ready made meals, and meats. You'll find pretty much all the same stuff as the Albert Heijn here, only at a much lower price.

The store has a nice layout and the prices on some of their products is indeed cheaper than a lot of other supermarkets, but I already miss the C1000 house brand. I thought they had some really good things. Also, I was there early on a Saturday morning and a lot of the chicken was already gone, they did not have much of a variety left. OK, this place is still new so I will give it a couple more times to see if I like it or not then I will update my review.

There is normally an Etos and Gall & Gall near these stores since they are owned by the same company, but not in this upscale area. So the AH has some items inside that would normally only be in Etos (Tylenol, Ibuprofen, etc...) It's nice indoor traffic flow is very efficient, wide aisles, friendly staff and good selection. Prices are always a bit higher here, but they have a huge beer selection and wine too. Their checkout is now down to two or three human registers and the rest is self checkout. I thought this place deserved more than 3 stars so I gave it another review.
