He was humbled to say that he didn't speak English very well but I thought he spoke fine, at least better than my Italian. After a quick check-in, he even helped us upstairs with our luggages. The room was a twin room and was perfect for my friend and I. The bathroom was a nice and large featuring a typical European-type stand up shower and bidet and toilet. The sink was good with room for a lot of my toiletries. The room also had television, although we were too exhausted from the drive to watch. We had a stocked refrigerator too. Our stay here was quite comfortable because the room was at the perfect temperature and it was quite large and very clean.

As soon as we pulled up they ran out of the hotel to greet us. We were offered welcome drinks upon arrival. A very nice gesture. They even remembered me from last time. The kindness of the staff knows no bounds. The rooms are spacious with a modern chic and elegant feel. The location could not be more central is the hotel is located just a stones throw from St Anthony's Basilica. Bravo to Mauro, his lovely wife and the entire team. On the other hand, this hotel claims to be 4-star which it is clearly not. I would give maximum 3 stars. Despite being new this place has a number of design errors, and not-so-comfy features. Beds for example are individual with a gap in between. Why would someone do that? The bathroom is small and there's not even a toilet paper holder. In the shower there's no space to put your shampoo bottles. Why has no one though about these things? The hotel claims "ultra fast wifi" which is a very bad joke. Wifi is very slow despite low occupancy during my stay. Don't count on it. Oh, and you need to log in with Facebook to get online and give them all your personal data. Bad! They also claim "soundproof rooms" which is another bad joke. You hear everything what your neighbor does. And don't expect to go to bed too early. Parties in the restaurant are heard loudly through the staircase also to upper floors. In my case so loud I couldn't sleep until way after midnight. Remains the restaurant. We had half board - a big mistake. Boring food and very average raw materials make for a disappointing experience. Breakfast was small but okay (Italian average). If you stay there, eat outside.
