Our family of 4 stayed at Hotel Aurora for 1 night in early August 2022 (room #7, next to the reception desk). The room was large and clean and overlooked a small piazza area (not Pizza Erbe) so it was not noisy at night. The reason we can't give this hotel 5 stars is because of the air conditioning... there were 2 in the room but one was broken. The room was warmer than the hallway and we let the older man at reception know in the evening when we arrived back from exploring the town, but he fiddled around with it, made a call to someone on his cell phone, left and didn't return. Oh well. Besides this, everything was great with our stay. The location is great. There's a pizzeria downstairs and the hotel faces Piazza Erbe, which has a market daily with food, souvenirs, etc. (at least it did both days we were there). The breakfast was fantastic: breads, meats, cheeses, fruit salad, sliced watermelon/pineapple/cantaloupe, yogurt, coffees/hot chocolate, juices, milk, cakes/tortes, Nutella, fried/scrambled eggs, bacon.... even Prosecco. We had breakfast inside the breakfast room, but there is an outside terrace overlooking Piazza Erbe that we would have loved to enjoy breakfast on if the weather had been a bit cooler. The very nice young lady at the reception desk (long curly hair) was very friendly and helpful when we asked for laundry and restaurant recommendations. She also held our luggage/backpacks for us for a few hours after checkout, with was very much appreciated. We would stay here again if we were guaranteed a room with "fantastic" air conditioning, as I had read in a previous review. read more
