This hotel is located just outside the bustling metropolitan area, in a quieter, more relaxed part of the city which was exactly what we were looking for. We planned to explore both the city center and take a drive out to Barolo to visit some wineries, so the location worked perfectly for us. One major perk: the hotel offers free on-site parking, which made things super convenient. The staff was incredibly friendly and accommodating throughout our stay. We booked the presidential suite, and it was absolutely lovely, spacious, comfortable, and a step above the rooms we had in other cities during our trip. I highly recommend upgrading to the presidential suite if you're considering a stay here. We would definitely stay here again!

The staff was warm and welcoming and took our bags and sent us up to the roof, while waiting for our room. Beautiful views of the city. They ended up upgrading our room to a lovely spa suite. The bed was firm (like most European beds) but comfy and super quiet. It was just out of, but next to the historical center-an easy walk. We went to the rooftop at night, as well, and the staff was phenomenal -walking us through their favorite after dinner drinks and giving us tastings. We will absolutely stay here again, next time we are in Torino (and we plan to be back!)

I arrived very early in the morning and they still had a room ready for me on the top floor with a lovely view. That was greatly appreciated. The breakfast buffet is quite good with a nice variety of eggs, sausages, cheese, cold cuts, croissants, etc. The one negative though is that it's the same buffet every single day. Cons: While the room was very nice overall, the one big issue was the temperature. The room was extremely hot even when the thermostat claimed it was 18 degrees Celsius. In the end, I got a fan from downstairs and that at last allowed me to sleep in peace at night. The other annoying part was that there was no iron in the room. You have to call the front desk for them to bring it up to your room.

Celebrity hotspot - check (Madonna stayed here one week before we came and I am by no means a football fan, but I am told that I stood next to the prince of Juventus Football Club who was checking into the hotel in front of me). Seriously staying in this hotel transports you back into time. The timeless classical antique furniture is an authentic touch and adds a certain charm which resonates with the city of Torino. I haven't previously stayed in this brand of hotel but I was quite pleased as other reviews left me wondering about my choice. We literally were here just overnight, so I can speak to the bar or restaurant. Front desk staff was polite in calling us a taxi for dinner and also as we left for the train station the next morning. The hotel is also within walking distance to Eatitaly. I'd stay here again if I am ever back in Turin.

Parking is a breeze for only 25 euros. Just park outside the front door and your car is moved to a secure, private garage. If you will need again within the next couple of hours they will park in their interior courtyard. We used Turin as our base of operations, but on two occasions we left for two days (skiing at Courmayeur and bullet train to Rome). In both cases we didn't want to haul all of our luggage. No problem--they held our luggage until we returned. We enjoyed our time in Turin and will definitely come back. There's no question where we will stay--Grand Hotel Sitea!

The staff was incredibly helpful, and knowing we spoke little to no italian, they happily helped us in our native english and spanish. The wifi was advertised as being available in the rooms, however, this was so in only one of our two rooms. The wifi in the lounge worked well. The breakfast wasn't necessarily the best, especially when compared to some here in the States, but it was enough to fill you up and leave you content until lunch or later. The neighborhood has been described as sketchy in some parts, but we didn't think so. In fact, we felt very, very safe. One just has to know how to move around.
