This place is a joke. The turnover of employees is ridiculous .the family owned business enjoys employing thieves and perverts the apartments smell like sewer and the water isn't safe to drink. They don't update anything residentially . And the family values are work then hard and don't pay for pto time collected. This place should be fined and put out of business. Period. The staff is a joke and the clients belong in nursing homes. That's how bad these apartments look inside. They maintain the apartments like 3rd world status. read more

Terrible company only cares about the money. I rent an apartment from carpenter village and told them the called the rental and property manger a few times about upstairs neighbors being really loud throwing the ball all night waking up my children. pleasant To speak to but never called me back. So I called the company and asked to speak to a person higher up then them the receptionist laughed and said hahah the president of the company won't talk to you. I was very baffled because the president is a person just like us why can't he talk to me about his apartments. terrible and very unprofessional she then said "I am not a therapist" and hung up the phone on me. read more

I've lived at Carpenter Village (owned by Albany Management) for about a year. We love the quiet and convenient location of the complex and we've never had a problem with management or our neighbors. The apartment is beautiful and we look forward to continuing our lease here. read more

Terrible experience. Before applying for one of their apartments, I was assured that my pets would be allowed. After applying and wasting $50 on the application fees, they told me that the manager said my pets wouldnt be allowed. Feels like a scam to steal application fees. Dont trust these people! read more

Materials and craftsmanship used in the construction and repair of strawberry village apartments is to Trump is qualified to have our nation's nuclear codes. I currently rent commercial space on 3 Computer Drive West from Albany Management. For weeks I have been suspecting things were going missing from my space. After reporting it to Albany Management I got vague responses such as "well look into it", "you should get a security system", and "file a claim with your insurance company." I had a suspician of who was stealing and reported it to management, given only a handful of people have access to the space but again nothing was done. I ended up setting up hidden cameras and on August 21, 2019 I received a notification that there was motion detected in my office. I logged on to my security system and watched Albany Managements cleaning guy steal approximately $1000 worth of merchandise from my space. I alerted the local police and he was arrested on the spot. Over the past few weeks the total inventory stolen amounts to over $5000. After this incident I demanded that Albany Management make things right. The only person that was responding to any of my calls or emails was Joan Purtell and I admit she was kind and sympathetic but did not really provide real solutions. The day of the theft the owner of Albany Management, Ronald Laberge, met with me in his conference room at 4 Computer Drive West and said that I am free to terminate my lease and move to a new space if I am unhappy. He said this in front of my wife and the head of his maintenance department. A few days later I called Joan and asked that she provide me in writing a document that states I can terminate my lease. The response I received was a strongly worded email saying the Ronald Laberge denied offering to terminate my lease, that he was willing to allow me to move to a new space within the company, that I am not entitled to seek legal action against Albany Management and that I should have my attorney review my lease before breaking my lease due to financial repercussions. So now Im stuck in a 3 year lease with a dishonest landlord that takes advantages of small businesses. read more

Management is like dealing with Hitler. The office manager Darlene is rude and bossy. My manager wishes he never signed a lease with them before knowing what they are truly like. They truly don't know how to treat their customers. Their cleaning staff is great but have a good turn over due to how they are treated. We moved in last December my manager already has me looking for space not run by Albany Management. read more

I would definitely not recommend renting an apartment from Albany Management to anyone. They kept my security deposit based on bogus cleaning charges. When we arrived the bathroom was already filled with mold, the counters were scratched, the cabinets were 40 years old, and the carpets had many stains. At move in, we were told that all of the prior damages were written down and that we would not be penalized for them. However, they listed these problems as my responsibility when I moved out. The walls and cielings were paper thin. We could hear people's t.v. sets and constant footsteps above us. The foyer and stairways of the apartment building stunk like mold and cigarettes. The door to the foyer was left unhinged and open for a week in the middle of winter before it was fixed. This let out a lot of heat and caused the bill to be extremely high. I recieved letters demanding late fees for my rent several times, meanwhile the checks had already been deposited by Albany Management. The rent is very high for the horrible service you will recieve here. They will not address problems in the buildings and then try to take advantage of you for more money. read more
