This is an agriturismo bed and breakfast located in a beautiful Tuscan countryside in the town of Fidenza . The food is home made and some of the best we have had in Italy . Those are the positives. There is no coffee makers in the rooms. One disappointment was the owner would not let us put our a/c lower than 25 Celsius which is 77 Fahrenheit. Ours didn't even go that low. Uncomfortable for being in your room, stuffy and no ceiling fans, or fans at all. He said it was Italian law not to
Lower the a/c but every other place we have stayed here 4 of them) allow it in your rooms, any temperature you need. If you have allergies, blood pressure issues, asthma or menopause please keep that in mind. We did keep the sliding doors open for sleeping at night to get air circulation. There is no mini refrigerator in the rooms either. They charge you 2 euro for every bottle of water ( which we didn't know ). Also for coffee- it's $3 euro for each cup which is odd since this is a bed and breakfast. It was on the bill when we checked out. It was in the mid 80's Fahrenheit and very hot. The owner said he would not open the indoor pool until 3 pm. He advertises pool amenity and spa area, but it is locked up, but it is not available at the hottest points of the day. Makes no sense and not accomodating to guests. The breakfast is sweets, home made cakes, jams and yogurts. No eggs or anything hot. In comparison to the other places we have stayed (4) the welcome was less than warm, the service not very accomodating. Unfortunately, The negative outweighed the positive for us. read more
