Nice lounge tucked away and accessed by elevator or stairs to the left…read more This was my 1st at this Delta Sky Club as I normally go to the Escape. I really liked my experience here for a few reasons. It is less busy so quieter. 3 areas of seating with lots of outlets. There is an business area if you need to print something or work on your laptop. I like the extra touches on the food and drink options. I like that they had a lot of fresh fruit (the other lounge usually runs out so disappointment for my kiddos), vegetarian sausage for the hot breakfast line up, and my favorite chia seed pudding as well as oatmeal, cereals, hard boiled eggs, cheeses and wide selection of baked goods. They had fresh fruit and mint for the lemonade, various Rishi tea options and candied ginger to upgrade your tumeric ginger tea. The decor is not as modern compared to all the renovated areas of PDX as mentioned by another review. However I would definitely come back if I am travelling with Delta. Thank you to the morning crew of this lounge for making my early morning flight experience a great one.

Walked into this lounge and it was clean, organized and the staff was pretty friendly and knowledgeable. Food-wise could be improved but I don't expect much from an American-style lounge. The food was just ok, had some cold cuts, cold sandwiches, and cold pasta salads. I would say there is always room for improvement in the food! But it's ok.

The lounge is very large with lots of seating and work areas with a lot of natural light coming in. The bar area is well separated from the food service area. They offer an array of hot and cold food items, a coffee bar, a salad bar, a selection of snack items, as well as dessert items. We were content to have a quiet, comfortable place to sit, read, work and relax while waiting for our flight. The staff was very friendly. The lounge was kept very clean. We only tried the broccoli cheddar soup and the oatmeal raisin cookies. They both were freshly prepared and delicious. Thank you for a comfortable respite!

On Saturday, June 27, 2026 at 8:24pm, while ordering drinks at the new Alaska bar lounge at PDX…read moreairport, we were assisted by Susie and we ordered 2 drinks, 1 of which was a premium drink. In short, both drinks should have been complimentary but when stating that fact and the supporting reason, Susie motioned to her forehead and said she couldn't read that on my spouse's forehead. She said that rather loudly and twice. I told her that he had stated the facts twice prior to ordering when she told us to move from one side of the bar to where she would prepare our drinks. If anyone were to watch a video of the bar area at that specific time, they'd see Susie's hand motions waving over her forward as she told my spouse that she couldn't read that on his forehead.... They'd see our expressions as well. We usually tip when ordering at the bar but my spouse, rightfully so, put the cash back into his wallet. We spent the remaining 30 minutes watching her facial expressions, or lack thereof, with other customers. We felt uncomfortable with this specific individual, hopefully training is provided to avoid any similar attitudes towards other guests. Please note, others working were welcoming and kind.

Those of us that are fortunate enough to have PDX as our airport (launching point), are so spoiled!…read more PDX is clean, so clean and smells like wood! It also features an iconic carpet, a piano player, live plants, plenty of light, color, art, a wide variety of quality shops, terrific places to eat and much more! And get this; *NO price gouging and NO tax! Shhhh, there is also a speakeasy. The TSA agents here seem to like their positions and it shows, as they are friendly and helpful. I love it here! :-)

Revisiting PNW airports on an "in and out" basis - OUT - (2 of 2)…read more This is a lauded airport, but it must be remembered that Portland International Airport (PDX) does not have the sort of pressure in terms of flights and passenger volume that the main city and airport (SEA) in the region has. Its layout is very sensible and almost intuitive. One of its strongest assets is that the light rail connection practically goes to its front door. The terminal scheme at PDX could best be described as a big "H." The crossbar is where the main terminal and its functions such as ticketing, security, and typical merchants and administrative offices are located. The legs of the "H" on both sides of the main terminal have runway systems at their sides, making them parallel and able to be used simultaneously. Going into the airport, the concourses on the left side (to the south) are B and C. On the right side (to the north) are D and E. The B concourse telescopes a little farther back to make for a small A concourse for commuter flights operated with smaller aircraft. Since one can go through security on either of the two sides of the main terminal, there is a connector between the C and D concourses allowing the passenger to move to the correct side of the airport for their flight. Most of the work to improve PDX and make it a 5-star event has been in the center of the physical plant. The main terminal has been modernized and the check-in counters are the shorter ones perpendicular to the facade and access road. What used to be primarily the parking structure has been lengthened outward and now includes the rental cars organized by brand on various parking decks. A consolidated rental car center for all the brands is now located at ground level halfway through this structure. All of this big structure's functions then use a very wide underground spine to reach the main terminal, after crossing the access road in a long pathway underneath it, and featuring PDX's trademark carpeting! Personnel encountered at PDX are routinely pleasant. The airport is very clean. Partly owing to its quirky carpeting and interior vibe seemingly blending American and Nordic sensibilities, it's comfortable like an old shoe. Restrooms and food options are sensibly interspersed within. (I will not comment on the pricing for some of the food options.) In the longer concourses, there are some segments with moving walkways. It appears that international flights use gates toward the end of the D concourse. The transit options to get here are one of the airport's strong points. One of the main MAX light rail lines has its terminus here at the airport. Given that there are now various MAX lines, one can practically mix and match them to get here ... and that doesn't even include quirky old school heavy rail WES commuter trains to and from Wilsonville! As you can see, all the boxes are checked. PDX is a very sensible airport that is easy to use.

This was some of the best food I've had in a while! I was a little iffy about coming here for lunch…read moresince I had been here once for dinner and it wasn't my favorite experience, but I'm so glad I gave it another try. The lunch portions were incredibly generous, especially the grilled cheese and fries, which were actually a kids meal! The buffalo chicken Caesar wrap was a little lacking in Caesar flavor, but where it lacked in Caesar, it definitely made up for it with the buffalo flavor, and it was still incredible. 10/10 across the board! The customer service was also amazing, and the staff were genuinely such a pleasure to interact with. And the little doodle on the bag was just the cutest added bonus! Definitely left much happier with this visit than my first one!

For mains, my friend ordered the elk burger, and as a self-proclaimed elk burger connoisseur, her approval means something -- she thoroughly enjoyed it. I went with the pulled pork sandwich, which was good and flavorful, and paired really well with their pepper & cabbage coleslaw on the side. We also split a cup of the roasted red pepper and tomato bisque, which was honestly a highlight of the whole meal -- rich, well-balanced, and worth ordering on its own. Drinks deserve a shoutout too: their non-alcoholic options were great. My friend raved about the guava lemonade, and I had the blueberry vinegar shrub, which was excellent -- bright, crisp, and refreshing.

I live in Portland and had an interesting problem to solve. I had about 3000 Hyatt points expiring…read moreat the end of the month and I wasn't really sure what to do with them as there were not enough points to trade for something like airline miles. So I checked out the Hyatt website and found out that you can exchange Hyatt points for dining and I could use the points to pay for a meal at this hotel. I stopped by the spoke and Fork patio and had a really lovely vegan lunch. The beyond burger was extremely ample and had lots of good toppings and the salad that it came with also was really ample. I had my heart set on trying the Mapo tofu, but unfortunately, it was only available for dinner. Now that I have been here, I know that this would be a great spot to of course stop by before a show or event at the moda center. I'm sure it gets busier on those days but on a casual lunch date, I got to treat myself, enjoy a free meal, and get introduced to a new little spot to come hang out before a show or event. They were efficient in handling my points request as well.

The atmosphere is modern and the rooms are reasonably spacious, though a little small for bathroom space. The views of the city are also pretty cool, depending on which side you're on. Our room had a great evening skyline view. A note with this property is their "fridges". They have a "beverage chiller" in the spot where a fridge would go in a regular hotel situation, however it only somewhat cools. When we called, they mentioned this isn't a real fridge and we could pay $45 to get a fridge that keeps things cold. If you didn't look closely, it's hard to notice the difference and any food you have in this beverage chiller would spoil. Once I called and heard about the fee, it felt like a tactic to add charges. Based on this, I wouldn't stay here again both because of the lack of convenience of not having a fridge in this level of hotel and not wanting to pay $45 to have access to this. That part is a shame because the rest of the hotel is clean and modern and the location on the east side is great!
