Another disaster calling for Rosini Furniture to the rescue…read more I own a beautiful Chippendale-style dining room set that's about 80 years old. I adore the furniture and really try to take good care of it. Unfortunately, not once but TWICE a dear neighbor who was over for drinks broke off a carved piece from the back of a chair. He's not hefty; his physique just happens to apply pressure at just the wrong point . Anyway, he was surprised at my calm while assessing the damage. I explained that normally I'd need smelling salts, but I knew an expert craftsman who would repair the chair so well no one would ever know it had broken. I've used Rosini Furniture since 2018 and will NEVER go elsewhere. John is an artist. He has incredibly high standards for the work performed by his shop and it's evident in everything he does. I've written several other reviews that describe extensive work he's performed on my vintage furniture. Please take a look if you have time ... it may help convince you your furniture will be in the best hands possible because John is both highly talented and knowledgeable. P.S. However, furniture can be misused and arrive in shabby conditions. That is where Marco's Art of Restoration is a godsend. Marco is an Artisan par excellence. I attach photos of a Rococo desk which was beautifully restored. He is now restoring a Boulle desk which is incredibly intricate and an extremely valuable Gio Ponti sofa set. Olga, his wife handles the administration with charm and courtesy. Because of Marco and Olga, I can indulge in my love for antique furniture. Marco also makes bespoke furniture with his own catalogue but can custom make to client's specification, for example, to restore a set if one item is missing. Very useful to know.

We have been using this company for at least 20 years now, and have always expected work of the…read morehighest standards. Recently we noticed that the cushions on two chairs that they restored decades ago were not holding up. We took them in and, a week later had cushions stuffed with new feathers that exactly match the colors of the rest of the chairs. Also one of the chairs had a bolt sticking out more than an inch. As part of the deal, Mike, the owner, visited our house and snipped the metal part off. When we need something done to our furniture, we don't have to make tough choices.
