From going into multiple smaller pharmacies (probably 10+) and also comparing prices with Pharmacie du Forum Des Halles (much larger store with larger selection) and comparing with Pharmacie Monge Notre Dame, the prices were more or less the same between these 3 larger pharmacies (some products would be a few cents or a euro cheaper at one or the other for each pharmacy listed). The prices are definitely more expensive at the smaller pharmacies unless you find a special deal on a specific product. CityPharma sometimes has special deals for buying multiple products of a certain brand, but there were none when I went. If you want a more leisurely, spacious, and calm shopping experience, I would recommend going to Pharmacie du Forum Des Halles since there is way more space and employees to help you and prices are similar.

The look from the first of the two pharmacists at Place Rèpublique who helped us was that stereotypical French, chin down, eyebrows up, "Dear God, I have to deal with another tourist today?" face. But it only lasted a split second. She and her colleague looked at my aunt's paperwork, figured out the deal, and took care of us in short order. They answered all our questions, even the dumb ones (eg, "Are these mints Italian? Can you tell me what flavor they are? What does this [Italian word] mean?") When I got there... there was a tourist bus parked outside and super packed inside! It was a tourist stop and filled with a lot of Asians with huge carts filled completely with products! Probably a good idea to go right when they open, because midday, with the tour buses parked outside, there is really no room to stroll around the place. These items may include facial care, over the counter medicines and even perfumes. I found this charming pharmacy tucked away under the shadow of the Eiffel Tower, and all my prayers were answered! The patroness, Linda, is a warm, knowledgable and extremely helpful woman. I wanted specific items which I had not been able to find elsewhere and she had every one! She helped me with some questions I had and showed me products that were better then what I had been looking for, and less expensive! Who does that? She also threw in several samples of her own facial care products, designed in the lab of her pharmacy and they are terrific! I was so touched by her kindness and enthusiasm for her work!
