Update: it's been 22 days and STILL no one has shown up. We had an appointment scheduled for today that my husband took off work for. The guy called last night to tell us he couldn't make it. At this point I'm almost sure the squirrels in our attic have done major damage. We purchased an exclusion contract through APS. Every single time we contact them and schedule something they don't show. We are stuck in this contract with no other choice. Absolutely the worst customer experience I've had to deal with. No call no show. Very unprofessional. 100% would not recommend their services to anyone. read more

My one star review is because of what I perceive as unprofessional and pushy tactics. In 2023, they performed services without an appointment or approval and then expected payment (despite not having a signed contract from the current homeowner). There were a few things going on at the same time, so I simply paid them for the services but did not renew any sort of contract with them, and told them I wasn't happy with how they went about doing unauthorized work and then still expecting payment. Fast forward to 2024, I received several phone calls after 7pm, and on the weekends, trying to get me to renew my contract with them. I said i was not happy with their company which is why I did not sign any contract in 2023, that I would be shopping around and I would reach out to THEM if I wanted to continue with their services. This did not stop the onslaught of attempts to contact me and get me to renew a contract. APS continued with the repeated phone calls, often at times well outside of appropriate business hours. This all culminated when one of their workers came to my home, unannounced and uninvited, to get me to renew my contract and schedule an appointment. I find this borderline predatory, from repeated phone calls after communication that I would reach out to them and requesting they not call after business hours, to having someone physically show up to my home. Wholly unprofessional tactics that they should consider modifying. read more

I had a leak in my basement, which Alabama Professional Services had waterproofed and encapsulated within the last five years. The COO of APS personally came out to assess the problem. It turned out NOT to be a problem with the waterproofing, which is sound, but a plumbing problem from a kitchen pipe. The specialists were very helpful and I love that they text you right back when you have any questions. I called around for prices and they offered the best one for pest control service. Everyone was so nice and I felt like they were honest about their services offered and don't try and pressure you to go with them. This company has horrible bookkeeping! My bank inadvertently forward a payment to APS and they refund the payment to the new owners of the house and refused to send me my refund. The account manager is rude and unprofessional, and refuse to refund me my money. I spoke with representative about the refund earlier this year, and they stated that they were going to research my refund. Now my money has been refunded to a person that I do not know. They refused to give me my money and this is highly unacceptable. read more

My pest control service with APS has been fine but the yard service is terrible. Despite regular treatments, my yard was covered with crabgrass and other weeds. For months I paid them thinking the yard would improve but it never did. Weeds persisted and grass never got as green as the yards around me. My neighbors on all sides, who used another yard service, had green yards with no weeds. I called APS and manager came out and said they needed to change the treatment. They spot treated the crabgrass which left large yellow spots. What I don't understand is why the tehnician had not reported over his numerous visits that the yard had continuing weeds and was not as green as should be. I've changed to the service my neighbors use. The weeds immediately improved. I just regret that I kept giving APS the benefit of the doubt and waiting for it to get better. read more

As we approach the one year anniversary, this is the first time we have personally dealt with APS. We inherited them as our provider when we bought the house. So as opposed to paying a fee to switch, we decided to stick with them. The only downfall I saw was that we were contacted twice at a very odd hour. Once I got a voice mail and the other I answered. But they were both after 6:30 PM. But the person was extremely friendly and apologized. Aside from the timing, it is very nice that they reach out to you when it is time to get an inspection. I happened to be home when they wanted to stop by. But if I weren't, all they needed was permission to go in the crawl space. The person who came is the same that I talked to on the phone. He was friendly and fast. Unless our house gets eaten by termites over the next year, I am satisfied with using APS moving forward. read more

I moved into a new house near Lake Purdy in June. There were more mosquitos there than I have EVER SEEN! I feared we would not be able to enjoy our nice, new back yard because of these pests. I called APS, thinking they might help, but not believing they could fix our issue. Guess what? BEST SUMMER EVER - and no mosquitos. Best $50/month ever spent. They come automatically each month and bill my card that's on file, and I get a receipt. That's it. Easy. Wish I could do more than 5 stars! read more

Non-existent customer service. I tried for 3 weeks to hire APS for pest control and termite bond. Kept getting transferred to wrong departments. After leaving several voice mails, because it seems no one is ever there. Lynn returned my call, I missed the call and called Lynn back in less then 3 minutes, voice mail again. that was Wednesday December 12th, over a week after the first 2 voice mails. So I left one more voice mail for her to call me back. This is Monday and Still haven't heard back. So I called the office. The receptionist did not know where to transfer me for customer service so I was transferred to accounts payable. REALLY! then accounts payable transferred me to the CFO. Who kept over talking me and was combative saying it was just a "momentary lapse". Well a "momentary Lapse" does not last for 3 weeks. That is just someone not doing their job. She also kept making excuses that they have 30,000 employees and have been in business for 40 years. OK! And after 40 years you still do not have adequate customer service. As a Realtor I regularly use Alabama Professionals to order termite and wood infestation reports for either seller clients or buyer clients. Roger House, with Alabama Professionals, is my go-to--guy every time. He gets the job done on time, their service is excellent, and the price is right too. I have found many times, even when a seller has an existing contract with another company, it is more cost effective to order new service through Roger at Alabama Professional since many companies charge extra to transfer and renew an existing contract. Also some companies only offer a treatment bond, not a repair bond. Knowing the excellent service this company provides, being able to keep the cost lower for this service is icing on the cake and benefits all the parties involved. Thanks, Roger and APS. read more
