Clean; comfortable spaces. Above all staff are very helpful, advising us on the area, making calls, arranging rides because of our limited Italian. While this was well intiioned, I strongly advise that you also do your own research. read more

It's also close to one of the most elegant and fancy areas of Bologna (Galleria Cavour) and just 5 mins walking from Piazza Maggiore. The hotel in itself it's a real boutique hotel, that kind of effortlessly chic design for the lobby and the common areas, the Italian classic for the rooms. The rooftop is worth the staying. You have the most amazing view over the typical red roofs and clock towers of Bologna, while enjoying a Jacuzzi or a glass of wine in the lounge corner. Very sofisticate, but without trying too hard, if you know what i mean... As for the breakfast, there is quite a choice of handmade cakes, croissants, fresh fruit. The continental breakfast is also available (sausages, eggs, ham, salami, vegetables, etc.), but I didn't try it, since I am Italian and a purist! The staff is super kind and helpful. Elena, the girl at the reception, gave me the coolest advice, spacing from how to enjoy my staying in Bologna to where I could find the best flower shop in town! I will definitely choose it again, next time I am in Bologna.

Arrived at the restaurant rather late (13.30 ) on a beautiful, but cool midweek day in April 2017…read more It was empty, save for our family of four. We had a mix of tasty antipasti, primi (spaghetti alle vongole, risotto ai frutti di mare), fried octopus as a secondo and tiramisu and panna cotta for dessert. Excellent sparkling white house wine, and water accompanied our meal. Food was fresh and arrived quickly. Service was friendly. I specially recommend the fantastic spaghetti alle vongole verace, their specialty. The other food was good, but not extraordinary, but the dolci were rather forgettable. They were especially helpful in giving us a ride back to where we had parked our car (near the marina di Ravenna, some 2 hours walking distance along the beach). In summary, we recommend this restaurant for an authentic Italian sea-side meal and would. gladly return for more.
Comacchio is a wonderful canal city not unlike, but much smaller than Venice…read more In fact, we opted to come here after learning about the difficulties of getting to Venice. It is now a two and half hour journey (one way), due to the ecological and climate change issues AND where large ships can now dock. Sadly, the flooding of the Grand Canal and of the Venetian Lagoon has been well documented. But Comacchio and it's Tre Ponte bridge are beautifully and is near the center of town. We enjoyed the many nearby museums, art galleries, Café shops and their impressive Cathedral. The walk along their canal was both meditative, as well as relaxing. See attached photos

Depending on where you parked, this is the bridge you will cross to get into the Historic Center. And it's an interesting bridge. Not just by the style and architecture. It's also special because it's a bridge that spreads over not just one, but two canals on each side.So it's "three-legged" so to say. Three - Tre. Built in 1638 this bridge soon will be 400 years old. And it's still in wonderful shape. Some changes and improvements were made of course over the centuries. A great sight. Surely not to be missed when visiting Comacchio.
Although I only stayed for one night, I really enjoyed my stay at Hotel Touring…read more The location is terrific: right beside the Castle, in the Medieval part of Ferrara (the oldest and most charming), all the main tourist attractions are only a couple of minutes away...it literally couldn't be more central. The staff was very nice, friendly and accommodating. The room was comfortable and very clean. We also had a balcony with a great view of the Castle . They offer 24h parking space right outside the Hotel for extra €3 which was great since prices for parking spaces in Ferrara are 1.50€ per hour normally. Not a luxury hotel but considering the staff, the buffet breakfast included, the cleanliness and location especially, I thought it was great value. I will stay there again if I go back to Ferrara.
