I attended a day long meditation retreat led by Ta'leef's Micah Anderson and one of my regular…read moreBuddhist Dharma teachers, Vinny Ferraro. It was inspiring to spend a full day of deep practice with alongside Muslim practitioners. Witnessing how mindfulness and loving kindness can transcend religious boundaries was powerful. Sincere gratitude to the Ta'leef community for warmly welcoming me to share the day and providing a different perspective on my own practice. It was an amazing experience and I look forward to another visiting again. Thank you.

It was founded with a vision to create a space for those who are interested in Islam or those who have converted to Islam. of course it's also open to Muslim-born people as well. Ta'leef offers a variety of Islamic classes, youth programs, and is also host to special events. it is located in what seems to have been some kind of business park but now mostly converted into an area with religious places of worship. there's a Jehova's Whitness church nearby as well as another Cavalry church... a few businesses and warehouses... i wish there was a better sign to the actual driveway of Ta'leef from the main road... it was a bit tricky to find the place even after the 2nd and 3rd time last week when i was there for a 2-day Deen Intensive lecture by Sheikh Yahya Rhodus that Ta'leef hosted... there are two buildings. one with a Masjid (that i didn't go to) and the main building has offices, classrooms, a kitchen, and a larger room for large lectures, events, and speakers... it would also have been nice if it was better accessible with public transportation, or maybe they could offer a 'shuttle service' from fremont BART?
