One of the better - although pricier - meals that I've had in a week of travelling around Sicily. The restaurant is on a secluded little alley away from the main tourist crush and the decor is old world but charming.
We had the misto mare to start and it was delicious. At least 8 different types of seafood in various preparations and flavours. Keep in mind the fish is served straight up so if bones aren't your thing you may want to steer clear of this.
The mains were pasta and both the farfalle with pancetta and linguine "alla Al Manzari" were absolutely fantastic. Fresh pasta and ingredients that we're absolutely nailed. You literally could not ask for better pasta.
Desserts were also on point. Conoli was light and covered in pistachios. The tiramisu would make your Nonna blush.
The only reservation I have is that we left our wine selection in the hands of our waiter who, while giving us a great bottle, jacked us into the €30 range without letting us know - poor sport but fair game on tourists, I guess. read more
