We were excited to give them a try as we had many wonderful memories there with the old owners: my daughter's first birthday was held there for example. my now 2 year old daughter wanted to walk around the restaurant. I accompanied her. But the moment she became restless, I moved her with me at the back at the restaurant were our family members were situated. Normally, a toy or a cellphone is enough to distract her, but not today. After 5 minutes of struggles, a waiter (maybe the owner) approach me. He told me to bring my daughter outside for some fresh air. Initially, I think it was a brilliant suggestion even if it was zero degree outside. But he continued to rant that we are disrupting other customers and that "das kann nicht sein. Dies ist ein Restaurant". It was then I realize we just got thrown out. My daughter & I did left, my husband went back to have a word with him. He became apologetic & said this is not what he meant. Personally, even if the place is sentimental to me, I will NOT go back. While I appreciate the free bread, the bread was not good. Very dense, very heavy. And dry. Maybe it wasn't bread but sponges in case you spill your drink. There's something on the menu for everyone. While Greek food is traditionally lots of meat, the vegetarian options were quite good as well! The lunch menu features most popular entrees, each with a starter soup and a choice of rice or fries on the side. Lunch portions are obviously smaller, but great value. Try the mixed starter platter with Saganaki and various fried vegetables! The staff was attentive and there's nothing to complain about. Why not 5 stars then? Well, look at the pictures of the food and venue. Good, but could certainly be improved. A bit plain. But I wouldn't hesitate to visit again.
