Great group camp!…read more This place is just like you picture a summer camp to be. Cabins spread out and lot of activities through the scenic acres. I stayed for a weekend with my daughters Girl Scout troop. We had a cabin with bunk beds. There was heat and electric but no bathrooms. The bathhouse was a short walk through the valley from where we stayed. Other cabins would have a further walk depending on where you are located on the property. The price included meals and activities. My got to try archery, shoot BB guns, climb a rock wall, canoe and horse back riding was available for an extra charge. The girls also had time to do arts and crafts. There is a dining all where meals are served. The food was what your would expect to feed a large group. Hamburgers, pasta , waffles. There was fruit and salad available at most meals and milk, coffee, and hot chocolate available. Although the hall did run out of food several times for our group. Eventually more was made but it created some stress for the group. The shower house is old. It did have hot water for showering but if the camp were full I don't see how everyone would get a chance to use. The cabins were clean and warm. The bunk beds were very uncomfortable for the adults to sleep in. They have fans and a few electric outlets. For the price though it was a great experience.

This place didn't come up on google search and was actually recommended by another equestrian place. They promptly responded and confirmed a time for my friend and I the day before our ride. For only thirty dollars a person, we had an hour-long instructor-led trail ride. It was an eighty something degree day and I worried that we'd be baking, but thankfully, the trail had ample trees for shading. Instructors were very pleasant and knowledgeable. I'm even considering taking my 10-yr-old son for a lesson or trail ride. Highly recommended!

That alone is a frustrating waste of time, but what happened next was far more disappointing. When I attempted to use a day pass for pool access -- an option clearly advertised on their own website -- staff refused to honor it. No explanation, no attempt to find a solution, no offer to sign me up for a membership that would have allowed access. Instead, I was told to "go to a public pool." Let that sink in. A paying customer, attempting to use a service the organization publicly advertises, was turned away and redirected to a public pool -- with zero effort made to retain my business or treat me with basic dignity. The experience felt deeply unwelcoming, and the manner in which I was dismissed did not feel coincidental. As a Black woman, being turned away without options, without alternatives, and without even the courtesy of a membership offer -- while others were not treated the same way -- speaks to a larger culture issue within this location. The YMCA markets itself as a community organization built on inclusion and access for all. This location's staff did not reflect those values on this day. Leadership needs to seriously examine how their staff engages with customers of color, retrain accordingly, and ensure that what is on their website is actually honored at the door. I have documented this experience and am following up through the appropriate channels. This is not the end of this conversation. If I could give it zero stars I would.

Also when you get a locker, it could be useless due to the lock handle is broken. Weekday afternoons, high-school students run the place and they are/can be obnoxious, run the machines and don't clean equipment when finished. I was told somebody monitors, but I never saw anyone. So I try not to come when they are there. Weekday mornings are extremely busy. Hard to get a workout done in an hour since everyone is using the equipment. I do love the equipment, it's just hard to fine a good time to get in there.
