What I find frustrating about this store is they don't cell the 16oz bags of tobacco. They do sell tubes and rolling machines as well. What do I love about this store? The location is safe and the store is brightly lit, the staff is knowledgable and this is the CHEAPEST store in town for bulk tobacco (by a lot!) Today a 6 oz bag of Red Cap tobacco was 12.50. (Other stores in town were selling it for 15.95, 16.95 and 17.95 a bag. )

They always have a wide variety of strains from multiple producers in stock. It's fun to go in and see what's new, chat with the tenders to see what they've been enjoying, and do some evaluating of my own. The bud tenders here are interested in more than just checking you out. I'm sure they enjoy the business, but they seem to genuinely enjoy discussing the product. Tenders interested and knowledgeable of the products they are selling are very helpful. I like how the tenders accommodate me when I'm running in for a quick bag, but are receptive and informative when I do have time to shop around more. This place is cool.

I finally found Vincent's shop after being disappointed with the first few I walked into. This is THE place to go in Anchorage. Not only does he carry good products and has plenty of knowledge, but he is by far the most customer-centric person I have ever dealt with. He always remembered my name when I walked in and helped me come up with new Vapes to experiment with. He has standard flavors listed on the wall to choose from, but if you feel like going a little beyond the normal, you can pick multiple flavors and he will mix what ever you wish. What other Vape Shop around will do that for you? I gave him 5 stars in this review, but if I could give him more I would. Now its hard for me to find a place to enjoy because he set such a high standard. Keep it up Vincent. Thanks for all you do.

But they don't really sell cigarette or pipe tobacco. Like all the tobacco shops in town, they sell pipes and bongs. So, after fees and overdraws, I bought three sodas for forty-six dollars, and twenty-nine cents. I will not be giving these guys any more of my business. I will be recommending to anyone who asks, go anywhere but here. They are thieves.

It's sister storefront, AK Green Light is a stones throw away around the corner on Northern Lights. AK Green Light, which is not yet open as of Feb 2017, will eventually be the main retail locations. But due to all the hoops cannabis operators have to go through, Ak Green Light is still tied up in red tape and not yet open to the public. In the interim, Fuzzy Budz is their sole retail outlet. The location is a non-descript converted home on teeny Eagle Street. At the time of my writing, the street is so packed with walls of snow that the store is barely visible from the street that's only 8 feet away. In winter, street parking is absolutely out of the question. There's about 8 parking spots in their lot, one of which is designated for handicapped customers with easy access to a ramp. The retail shop at the front of the building is little more than a foyer in which you place your order through a window. Even though i wasn't there to make a purchase, the staff was happy to answer my questions. As a gardener, I was interested to note this is the only place in Anchorage that seems to have C. Sativa in stock. Most shops in town are only selling C. Indica and hybrids- everyone I've asked has indicated that's what growers in Alaska are growing. They've all said there's very little available as soon as they get it in stock it sells out. This makes me wonder if the Fuzzy Budz folks are the only ones growing the Sativa species... (As a dorky gardner, I find this whole cannabis thing pretty interesting even though I don't smoke.) Anyway, what they told me is the indica is what causes you to get "couch lock" and the munchies and sativa makes you happy/high and in some cases, paranoid. The hybrids, of which there are apparently thousands, will produce combinations of effects. The prices listed seemed consistent with every other place in town. I would think that since they are cutting out the middle man and growing their own, we might expect to eventually see their prices be more competitive that the other retail shops in town. We'll see!
