Awesome looking produce everything was really fresh. I got the feeling the owners care. Very clean place and the kid running the check out was fun to talk with, he had huge smile while he worked. I was super impressed with the meat counter. Cuts you would never see at the chain store without asking to have them specially cut. Employees are rude and 9 out of 10 times they never ask me for my points reward card (yet they ALWAYS ask the elderly customer in front of me, behind me, at the next counter, etc.). They never say thank you, have a great day, nothing. They follow you around the store and watch you like they think you are going to try to steal a turkey or something. Groceries are 2 to 3 times more expensive than Des Moines stores, so we buy the bare minimum here. I would prefer to shop locally and support local businesses, but they need to teach ALL their employees good customer service and how to smile and be friendly to customers. Of course, I've learned nearly everyone from Iowa is rude and that no one in this state understands good customer service anyway.

In the evening they have high school kids that work there which is amazing for small town kids. Sometimes the employees seem to be more involved with their phones than their job but they are kids.
