The tax preparer, Carol, saw me immediately as a walk-in without an appointment. I was charged a fair price and my return was done accurately and in a timely manner.

I'm sitting in the the East Brunswick, NJ Jackson Hewitt for over an hour now waiting for my 2pm appointment that I made mid week via the phone number for this office. After waiting 20 minutes I assumed I would be the next one in and they were just taking their time with the previous customer..... Nope... I was told that the woman waiting ( who was a walk in) would be next " because I/we don't take appointments" Again, not only did I call mid week for this confirmed appointment, but I called at 12:30 to see if I could come early or of they had an earlier free appointment. I also confirmed my 2pm appointment when they said that there would be walk ins most likely ( like a fool, I drove an hour to get here and assumed they understood what appointment meant). Since I did drive down here and I will be traveling this week, I really have no choice but to stay here and wait ( while missing a family event and the beautiful 70 degree weather). I had used a competitor for about 15 years with no problems, but the past several years I used Jackson Hewitt for convenience. I WAS AN IDIOT!!!! On a positive note... As I'm waiting (1.5 hours now) this is helping me hone my social media and marketing skills on Twitter , Facebook, Yelp and other social media. Thank you Jackson Hewitt for miserable Sunday! Then they made me fill out a new client form so I asked if someone brought the buisness. They said no. So I asked why. They said the owner was making everyone fill them out. Then I found out why. They wanted to put my credit card on file in case I didn't come and get my taxes when they was done. I could understand if I was going to owe money but I never owe money. Also last year they didn't contact me until June about my paperwork being done or paying them so with all that being said all I can say is bye bye. You lost a good paying customer due to your stupidity
