Per my insurance company, it is on the same tab in Availity - Providers- TriWest; when you submit the referrals (as the provider). Only a referral was made and PT requires both. So now it still needs to be submitted but now they are saying my PCP needs to. This was the same way in east region (now west for Texas) so I don't know why this is like a new thing to them with authorizations. They worked me into rehab in the meantime which is nice; when I called they wouldn't do that without charging me per visit out of pocket. To be generous, perhaps they do not have the expertise to diagnose psoriatic arthritis, but bringing records of my history were ignored. Career-related, have had cortisone injections many times. This residual pain will not go away because it is now nerve damage. Have found good care elsewhere and now seeing a Reumatologist for psoriatic arthritis.. medication should help and my new Orthopedist has prescribed p/t stressing surgery will make this worse and not better. "Don't let anyone suggest surgery." In requesting records, the TxH&K doctor did call back and he is sorry. No suggestion of p/t and I do not take prescription pain killers. For colder days have used a cane or a walker sporatically. Hoping I am not totally dependent on walking aids moving forward. Additional X-rays at my current Orthopedist indicate both knees are the same in terms of moderate arthritis.. clearly nerve damage to my left knee.. Whether their staff has medical training I do not know.

He ordered an MRI since I'm a competitive athlete and needed to know the extent of the injury. Then his assistant called me with "results" that were very vague; I had questions she couldn't answer, and they don't do "follow-ups" to go over results. What? I had to request the follow-up by complaining, then they finally got me in. During the follow-up, he explained the extent of the injury and what it meant (how long I would have to offload, physical therapy, etc.). He stated his team would get back to me immediately to refer me to a physical therapy/rehab place he recommended. Well, that call never came. It's been 2 months, and they never followed through, not even to see how I was doing- nothing. I moved from out of state, and the doctors I had in high school and college always followed through with PT and checked in to see how the injured patient/athlete was doing. Zilch. Needless to say, we switched providers to a completely different group in Fort Worth. What a difference! I would never come back here again; so disappointing. I was in so much pain; I expected such a large office that bills so much to insurance to do their job. Maybe they are not very passionate about their careers, but it all comes down to the staff/people you hire and how they are trained. Dr. Blueitt is equally responsible for not following through. Oh, and he lied to us and said he had tried to call our phone numbers- total lie. We answer our phone all the time and had no missed calls after the MRI, which is when we complained that no one called to go over the results, since it was indeed a stress fracture. Always turning her head to that side, her hip would come up if we laid her on the right side. We didn't know what caused it, what to do about it or the long term effects of it. Dr Roop explained most newborns are tight after delivery because of the tight space they've lived in for 9 months. Some can loosen and relax, others might need a little or a lot of help. The scariest part for us was hearing, if hers went untreated, the possibility for a helmet in the future was more likely. After visiting with Dr Roop, we understood the reasons why better. The first appointment, Dr Roop worked on her and we could see a notable difference in her head movements, along with her limp movements when she was laying out. We had a 2 week follow up appointment to see how much of the adjustment from the first appointment stuck. He said she looked great but because of her age (8 weeks), wanted to do a 3 week follow up before completely releasing her. We liked the fact that Dr Roop was upfront about what to expect and that every child (or really individual) maintains differently and it could take a few visits, or it could take a dozen, you just don't know until you start the process. He wasn't though, going to draw out her treatment when it wasn't necessary. Dr Roop is so laid back and approachable. He'll answer any question you have or explain anything he is doing if you're curious or concerned. A great experience for us, new parents.

He randomly sticks needles in the back of my skull when I went in for trigger point injections in my shoulders. - to respond to your message that is actually false! My husband was there and witnessed it. He did not use sonography on my skull he randomly put it there as u stated and damaged a nerve in the back of my occipital bone. I have looked into legal matter for this and you are correct it was about 10 years ago so whatever reason why he stopped. Is probably best since he doesn't know what he's doing!
