This port town is on an island so everything is pretty compact and there are some lovely restaurants in the cruiseship port area.
Once in the main part of town which is very walkable, there are many statues including Napoleon Bonaparte. There is a daily outside market that sells fresh produce and groceries but it is only open until 1pm so shop early.
The traffic of vehicles will stop for pedestrians crossing the roads which is good because there seemed to be a lot of vehicles on their small roads.
Because this is also an island, there are great breezes. The beaches were also close to the port area. read more
