My 8th grade son worked with Jackson Levin for his high school admissions prep. Jackson was very flexible and responsive throughout the whole process. Jackson worked with my son on preparing for the HSPT testing, he made sure my son had a few practice exams at the appropriate time and also helped my son prepare for interviewing skills. My son originally had 3 schools he considered but we ended up only applying to one based on on my son's preference and Jackson was accommodating throughout the whole process. He was friendly and easy to work with which my son really liked. Just for a frame of reference, we had 2 other AJ tutors at the Menlo Park center and one was fantastic as well and the other was just so-so. Jackson was definitely one of the best ones out of the 3 we experienced. Note, we did the 10 week sessions and Jackson did not miss any sessions at all. In fact, he was flexible in that sometimes, we had to switch schedules and he offered alternative time/days that worked for us. AJ tutoring has been an excellent resource for us when our daughter needed extra help in certain core subjects Junior and Senior Year and our experience with several tutors with AJ has been very positive. They hire the BEST tutors who really get to know your child as a person and their learning style so they can meet them where they are and build from that. For example, my daughter was struggling in Honors Economics last year and she was so lucky to be paired with Devashish as her tutor with AJ. His knowledge and background in Economics and so many other subjects was extensive. He was clearly passionate about teaching! With Devashish's help our daughter was excited about Economics again and got her confidence back which resulted in good grade by end of semester. Devashish was flexible if any changes came up and was an excellent communicator as we would get weekly progress emails on their sessions. That is unique to AJ as you don't always see that with other tutoring centers unless you push to ask. AJ is also very reasonable compared to other tutoring centers in the Bay Area which is definitely worth mentioning since the cost of everything has gone up recently. It was a very manageable experience - she had plenty of school work and was playing a team sport at the same time as SAT prep.
