The gardens are so nice it almost makes you want to pretend you know something about plants. On-site restaurant? Yep. Tasty food just steps away. The staff are amazing--friendly, helpful, and genuinely seem to care if you're having a good stay (rare these days). There's a pool and hot tub, which is a win, and the beds and pillows are so comfortable it's honestly hard to leave in the morning. If I had to dig deep for a complaint, I guess I could say there's no microwave. But unless you're planning to live off popcorn and reheated pizza, you'll survive just fine. Neighboring hotels…read morewere requiring a 5 day minimum stay for a lot more when we had only intended to stay for a weekend for a wedding. Fortunately, they did not have such outrageous requirements. We were kind of amused to find that the cheaper lake facing rooms were $20 less than the closer lakeside rooms which were right next to the street with little to no view in contrast to the beautiful view we had. We rolled in at 630am after driving all night and were greeted by a warm older couple that owns/manages the place. Unfortunately the check in is later on in the afternoon (230 I think) and they were unable to flex for us despite being destroyed exhausted. The rooms are kind of like something you'd see out of a 70's Miami Scareface movie (dated and bright colours you'd expect to see down there). While it looked dated the first smell we were greeted by when we walked in was the smell of cleaning agents but the AC was turned off so it was stifling hot in there. It had a full kitchenette in there and a table. If you had a guest there was a pull out couch bed. The air conditioner filter in our room needed to be cleaned or something as it smelled dirty. The room was however spotless and the same could be said about the pool. I kind of wish they replaced the towels on our second day there but not too big of a complaint. The place was otherwise flawlessly kept up despite the dated design style (although freshly painted). The hotel is about 200 feet from the lake and really close to many of the areas most impressive wineries including the Cya Later Ranch, and the Blasted Church with both equally spectacular views. The beach is sandy and has a nice little path to walk on. If you're looking for a cost effective place to spend a weekend this is a nice little place that doesn't have the online presence it deserves so here I am the first reviewer!

He also went into each winery ahead of us to ensure they were ready for our group. All we needed to do was enjoy the wine and beautiful views. There was vomit on the carpet, tile, two beds and all the towels. Lea had her team wash the carpet, strip and replace ALL the bedding and even washed my daughters favorite blankie that we brought from home. They brought it back to her warm from the drier as soon as it was done for her much-needed nap. We have been coming to the Waterfront Inn for many years and we were a little nervous about it being under new management but what an upgrade! Lea and her team are incredible and we are looking forward to going back next year.

There was a friendly family to check us in. They helped us find a place to get some food at 11:00 pm (the 7-11 down the street as this town shuts down early). There was free Wi-Fi and cable in my room. The room was huge, much bigger than the 2 of us needed for 1 night. We had a double and a queen bed. There was a full kitchen and a good sized bathroom. The only real complaint is that I wish the windows had curtains, they had the horizontal blinds but really could have used curtains on top of that. The parking was also a bit cramped and the place is "retro", but I like that feel. Outside there was a pool and a playground as well. Very child friendly. Overall it was a great value for the money. I would stay again anytime.
