My wife and I were in Lisbon for a week and it was a rainy Sunday morning, so we decided to take…read morethe Metro out to the red team soccer stadium.
I guess soccer is a huge thing in Portugal, because Lisbon has two teams, each with their own huge stadium.
We bought the stadium tour, with the Museum tour.
For the tour, the brought us out to the pitch and we got to walk around the outside of all the seats, which was cool.
The press seats area was closed, but we did get to see the visitor's locker room and the two bald eagles that are the team's mascot.
I thought it was weird that they don't sell beer in the stadium, but I guess people get tuned up before the game.
We also got to see where they have the post game press conference, and our tour guide took our picture.
A fun couple of hours if you have the time
