Great Gym, Misleading Hours…read more I have been a member of GoodLife Fitness now for a few years. Recently moving from Calgary to Airdrie I moved my membership across and have been enjoying the gym and it's newly renovated areas. The Staff are friendly, and the equipment is fairly well maintained. The only thing I'm finding misleading is the hours, for a 24 hour Gym it's not open 24 hours Friday, Saturday, Sunday. This makes it tough for me to work out on weekends as I work a lot and would love to hit the gym sometimes late at night on a Saturday or Sunday. If they can keep open at 2am on a Tuesday Night I can't see why it's so tough to do the same on a Weekend?

Had a nice talk with a few ladies that work here. They are mistreated by management (mostly the…read moreowner) and in my opinion, underpaid, even though the price of classes and the memberships are extremely high. The staff that work at the front and some fitness instructors are condescending and others 'seem' overly nice from a distance as if they are trying to cover their tracks. The childcare room is the size of a walk in closet and they squish in 10+ kids from age 0-12 mixed together with only two staff members to direct the chaos. I have overheard management talking with the childcare staff and it is pure disrespect to the ladies watching our kids. They do their best having little to work with and like almost everyone working there, are clearly under valued. I have asked the ladies questions about this and they refuse to talk about it in fear of getting fired. To overhear management belittle their employees and 'coach' them in a way that sounds more like verbal abuse and harassment deters me completely from this facility. They have great retail, products and classes but something is very wrong here. The employers are not demonstrating a family within Oranj Fitness or any kind of genuine love, support or acceptance. They seem to only want to profit from their business. You shouldn't have to tell authority members to be humane and to treat everyone including the staff with respect and care. There is no need to mistreat and obsessively control your staff.

Rating: (1/5) I have been a loyal member at Anytime Fitness…read moreAirdrie for over 6 years. Unfortunately, I was recently terminated via email after I raised a concern about staff professionalism. While I have no issue following club hygiene rules, the way it was handled was disappointing. A staff member approached me condescendingly in front of other members and, most concerningly, used my name to confront another member ("Mark wants you off your phone"), which I felt was a breach of privacy and an attempt to incite conflict between members. When I reached out to management to discuss this, my membership was simply terminated the following day--right after my monthly dues were processed. After 6+ years of support, I expected a conversation, not an immediate ban. Pros: Good equipment. Cons: Management does not value long-term loyalty or professional conflict resolution.

THE BEST CLUB IN AIRDRIE!!!…read more We've been with Horizon Taekwondo for 6+ Yrs. After joining 2 other clubs and looking at others, we decided to try Horizon and it was the best decision we made back in 2017 to join. From day 1, the kids felt like they belong and were part of the Horizon Taekwondo Family and us parents too. My daughter is a 2nd Degree Black Belt and My son is going for his 1st Degree Black Belt in February 2023. I couldn't be more proud of them and all they have been able to accomplish with the help of the instructors. You won't find taekwondo instructors like the instructors at Horizon in too many places. They really CARE for the kids and they always ALWAYS take the extra time to answer questions, help with perfecting their techniques, making sure the kids are ready to face any challenges, that they are always ready before belt testing or that they are ready to compete in tournaments, if they choose to go! I can guarantee you 100% that your child will never be made to feel like he/she can't succeed. Everyone at the club, instructors and all the students alike will always be there to help, teach and encourage! Join Horizon Taekwondo today, you won't regret it!
