The owners are real people running a locally owned business, and offering GREAT service to their customers! They don't have all of the bells and whistles of the larger and more corporate trampoline/ninja parks, but the experience was just as enjoyable for our family! I have three boys and a girl aged 16 to 6. They are in gymnastics and are self-taught in Ninja obstacles. At first, the staff hesitated to allow my kids to try the advanced ninja obstacles (because it was our first time there), but communicated that clearly and considerately, while eventually giving them a chance to "prove themselves" under proper supervision. I appreciated their genuine concern for my kids' safety, while still being willing to cater to their desire to challenge themselves. My boys also appreciated the staff catering to them so they could enjoy the experience even more! Warrior Playground appears on the Colorado "Get Out Pass" which gets you a free session at the playground during Open Gym time on certain days.

Immediate termination…read moreof my level 10 athlete, a six year veteran of an Airborne's competitive team, from the team/gym within 24 hours and two emails while gaslighting the situation with false accusation: unfathomable. We had (still have) never met or even spoken to the new owners. Their primary reason after I debunked numerous false accusations, was because I refused to purchase a competition leotard through them. Here's the kicker, they already OK'd the parents to select and purchase the leotards directly without them. I personally requested and received permission via email from a Director at Airborne with at least one of the owner's acknowledgement to inquire about wholesale pricing and to purchase the competition leotards directly. Since I had been ordering gear for the team for several years, I directly contacted the leotard rep and was able obtain wholesale pricing, without use of a booster club, put design options together, and secured sizers upon Airborne's approval of design. Parents were also granted permission by Airborne to use practice time to size the girls. Apparently Airborne planned to use the sizers I secured to place the order directly and (surprise!) upcharge all parents with no communication at all. I heard this through the grapevine during the designated practice for parents to size the girls (our family was in crisis mode so I wasn't able to be at the gym). I did the work to design and secure great pricing for the team, with permission from Airborne, for the team's benefit, and then they underhandedly swooped in to charge the team without even the courtesy of asking if they could use the sizers I secured. This felt very deceptive and manipulative. It gets worse than just charging me for the work I did. My first communication I had with Airborne owner's was when I sent an email to them per directors/head coach suggestion explaining the history, their previous approval, and the work I put into it. Their following emails had numerous conflicting statements as well several false accusations towards me, such as I used an old booster club to obtain wholesale pricing (another company also offered wholesale pricing to us as parents) and that I never did the ordering for the team. They continued to knowingly falsely tell parents that I unethically used an old booster club to obtain wholesales even after they were told that I had written proof to the contrary. One would expect people who work with children to promote ethics, integrity, and communication. Airborne's behavior is unacceptable for any business, but especially for those entrusted with children and teens. I had kept the Director/Head Coach abreast of how pricing was obtained and every step I was taking via text. I openly and transparently communicated, truthfully, in good faith. Once the booster club accusation was debunked the owner's told others that I sent excessively negative emails but neglected to mention that my emails were in response to their false accusations. Of course I was frustrated and could have had less harsh emails rather than responding to them in the same manner they were treating me. My daughter had completely trusted and had had a close relationship with the head coach. His actions, or lack thereof, caused her to lose her great love for the sport and caused damage with trusting another coach in a different sport. All the correspondence is in writing. Please feel free to contact me on this matter at protect.our.child.athletes@gmail.com. I will do everything I can to keep this from happening to another child/teenager. Oh and btw, booster clubs are for the benefit of the athletes, not a pro-profit business (don't get bullied into pay-for-play, it's illegal). I found out between Christmas and New Years that I needed to cancel my toddler's class. Cats is closed during this period, so I called and left a message. I called again when the gym reopened and explained my situation. Although the next session started the day that the gym reopened, and they do not allow cancellations within 2 weeks of the session start, they agreed to make an exception given the circumstances as long as I filed my cancellation form that day. I did that. In Feb they charged me for the entire month anyway. I called to point out the mistake, and they agreed that I had been charged in error, but refused to refund the money. Again, I'm not worried about the mistake - I've been a small business owner and understand that things slip through the cracks sometimes. It's the fact that they won't correct an easily correctable mistake that's unacceptable. I'd recommend taking your business to the more honest and reputable options in the area.

Decades ago my younger son took gymnastic classes there. My husband has used their pool for Scuba trip prep swims to test out their equipment. Also my kids and many of their friends had birthday party events there in the 80s. A friend of mine invited me to stop in and try out their fitness classes for seniors. The program is free to us, though most of the participants have some form of support from their medicare supplement policy (Silver Sneakers membership) and I assume that benefit supports the program financially. Nothing is ever "free" in the sense that it is just like being out in nature. There is a large building and many staff to support. All the staff we met in the process of signing up and get information on programs were very pleasant, efficient and supportive. The teacher of the class was a very positive and talented young woman who clearly understood her participants very well. The music was such fun. Some was the a similar play list to what I had in classes in the late 80s & early 90s, when I last took an indoor fitness program at other locations under the Jazzercize label. I was surprised yet pleased to hear Joan Baez "Diamonds and Rust" unique to a class like this I think. Parking is a bit complicated at the center, as the lot out front has very small spaces and is filled quite early in the day, but there is more room along the sides with slightly larger spaces and now that we know that, we will try there first next week.

I've been a member of Roots since moving to Boulder in 2012. In my biased opinion (and isn't that…read morewhat Yelp is all about?), Roots is the best CrossFit gym in all of Boulder ... and the country, far as I've seen - and I've dropped into my fair share. Let me explain: * The size of the gym is spacious, not cramped, and always clean and organized. Total win. * There's a mindful flow to class structure with a group warm-up and WOD intro that is guided - it's never a free-for-all. And the class waits to break their sh*t down until everyone is finished WODing. * The coaches are the best, most skilled IMO. They care about form and foundational movements and technique. They keep class sizes small so you get the attention you need, whether you want to admit it or not, to get better and, more importantly, move safely. * They have four dedicated Oly platforms, where is where I now spend the majority of my time. I love that. I got my own space to work on my Oly lifts or pull out a rack to back/front squat, without having to fight for space, barbells, or plates. * They have ample Open Shop time that I utilize for shizzle. No other gym in/around town is going to let you treat their shop like your own personal gym, but Roots does with near-daily Open Shop times that let you come in and do your own thing, catch up on a WOD you might've missed, or work on technique and gymnastics. * There's always a coach onsite. If you need a spot, some advice, or general pep talk, you don't have to look far to get the support you need as an athlete. I love that. Sometimes, you may even get advice from a coach without asking - that's how much they care. Okay, here comes the WARNING: If you join Roots - or even try it for a few days and classes, be ready to FEEL SPOILED. To feel like no other gym will ever meet your expectations, because that's exactly what will happen. Roots is the best, worth every cent, and very accomodating for all athletes of all ages (they have a kids program and a seniors program), as well as community-minded and welcoming. To be honest, when I moved to Boulder without knowing ANYONE, I got through that first awkward couple of years (you know, trying to meet friends and trying to feel at home) because of Roots. I started in their Women's Only program and made fast friends with the ladies, before I self-graduated myself into the standard track after doing the 2014 Open. If you're a member of Roots, I think you can agree with me - you feel like you're part of something special, something important, something worth preserving at all costs. It's not the cult-mindset (ha, like that even exists in CrossFit); it's the Roots Family outlook. When you're in, you're in.

Even when another athlete offered immediately to invite my wife as her guest coach Shane remained adamant that joining the wod was for some reason against the rules. This is a disappointing experience to have at such a well-established box. CrossFit Roots is known to be the home of several well-known CrossFit athletes, good coaching and unfortunately also a somewhat callous management. If you are looking to join a box in Boulder I cannot recommend CrossFit roots.
