For the price we paid, we wanted what we ordered. That said the flowers at least arrived on time and in healthy condition. It just wasn't what we picked out. I was sending same-day, surprise birthday flowers. I ordered before 10:00 am. Mid-afternoon I started to worry because the recipient hadn't sent me a text to saying "AWWW, thank you" or similar. I looked at my order and realized I gave the wrong cell number. (OY!) So, I called The Blossom Shoppe. The nicest lady answered. She was amazing, calm and knowledgeable. NO, they hadn't delivered the birthday arrangement yet because the weather was hot. My instructions requested to leave on a side porch because I wasn't sure if the birthday-girl would be home. The person on the phone was very helpful and accommodating. I requested a natural, woodsy arrangement in green and white. She asked if I liked curly willow (...do I like curly willow??!! Yes!), and when we concluded our business she said, "We'll make something very nice for you." Well let me just say, Leo Wood hit it out of the park! The pic doesn't do it justice. The finished product was formal enough for the occasion but it had long pieces of curly willow reaching out in stunning asymmetrical glory. I highly recommend this florist!

There are currently zero florists in Rustburg that I could find, so I thought I'd order from a florist in nearby Lynchburg. I went to Leo Wood's website and placed an order for a $45 bouquet with a delivery fee of $18, with a total of around $65 with tax. About 5 minutes later, I got a call without so much as a "hello" and was told in a frustrated tone that "I'm not delivering anything to Rustburg for $45! I'm cancelling this and you can order a more expensive arrangement! It gives you a minimum cost on the website for deliveries outside of a certain radius!" I replied, "Excuse me. You are being very rude. I am not from Lynchburg or Rustburg and have no reference on how far that drive would be from your place of business to my family member's home. Also, I did not read the whole entire website and did not have any alerts that stopped me from placing the order. Go ahead and cancel my order. I refuse to do give any money to a business that speaks to customers in this way." I'm assuming the person I spoke to on the phone is Leo Wood himself, although they never greeted me on the phone or offered their name. Would absolutely recommend Kathryn's Flower & Gift Shop though. They are where you should spend your hard-earned money, not this place.
