**Unresolved damage and lack of follow-through**…read more We engaged Nice & Fresh Cleaners for a routine home cleaning in March 2026. Immediately following the service, we identified damage to multiple pieces of furniture across several rooms. We documented the condition promptly and notified the company. The owner, Bowie van Ling, conducted an in-person inspection on March 16. During that visit and in subsequent communications, we requested that the matter be addressed through the company's stated liability insurance coverage, consistent with representations on its website. Despite multiple follow-ups, we have not been provided with a certificate of insurance or a clear path to pursue a claim. Additionally, we received an invoice for the March 11 service weeks later that was marked "past due" with a due date that had already passed prior to issuance, raising concerns about billing practices. We made repeated good-faith efforts to resolve this matter directly. As of today, it remains unresolved. While the company represents that it is bonded and insured and takes accountability seriously, our experience did not reflect those assurances. Based on this experience, we cannot recommend this company. We have also submitted a complaint to the North Carolina Attorney General after attempts to resolve this directly were unsuccessful.

Good work, poor quote…read more I had a shed and platform that needed removing on the morning that a new shed was to arrive. They made a bid based not only on that specification, but also photos I sent showing both the shed and the platform. When the crew arrived, they said (a) they did not know the platform was part of the project and (b) it would cost more to do the job. Since I was stuck, needing to have the old shed gone so the new shed could go in its place, I had no options but to pay more than the bid. The shed and platform were removed, no complaints about the actual work. But had the office manager, Philip, done his job properly, I could have saved a couple of hundred bucks by keeping the platform and staging the new shed atop it. I worry. In the moving business, some local/regional movers play a game where they bid low, then on moving day demand more money saying the job was bigger than expected. This is a well known scam since the person moving cannot stay in their old rental. I hope this is not what Junk Recyclers is doing. So, if you have a small junk hauling gig, they are probably fine. Anything bigger, you might insist on a site visit and firm quote.

I have even waited a week before writing the review due to attempts to contact her and to allow myself some time to reflect. After no return calls or messages, I thought it was best to let other potential customers know about our experience. We rent out an AirBnb space and needed a company to clean when we were unavailable. I scheduled Balken Cleaning for a same day turn around on July 5th between the hours of 11AM - 3PM. The price she quoted me included cleaning for the entire space and completed laundry for the linens and towels. Unfortunately, we were very disappointed with the level of service we received and I attempted to contact Kailee to give her a chance to address the issue personally. I took her word for the services she would provide for the price she quoted, but it seems that she took advantage of knowing that I would be out of town and unable to check up on the work that was done. 1st: BEER EXCHANGE WAS STOLEN! The cardboard pack was very clearly labeled "GUEST BEER EXCHANGE TAKE A BEER/LEAVE A BEER". When I spoke to Kailee regarding this she said that it's their policy to throw out anything remaining from the guests. However, the only thing missing was the beer and there were still condiments in the fridge and food in the freezer. 2nd: LACK OF ATTENTION TO DETAIL. Dead moths in the window sills and smudges on the windows were a dead giveaway that they didn't get everything clean as they promised. 3rd: NO LAUNDRY WAS DONE! We paid for the laundry to be completed. Instead they threw the bed linens into a trash bag, tied it up, and put it in the supply closet. The towels were hanging around in the closet, but they clearly hadn't been washed either. 4th: ALL OF MY CLEANING SUPPLIES WERE STOLEN! I keep my supply closet stocked with the items I use to run our rental, including the cleaning supplies that I use. None of them were found anywhere in the rental. 5th: TARDINESS & LIES: When I checked in around 1PM to see if she had any questions, she said they were just about there. I should have received a phone call to let me know they were running behind. Then they finished in an hour and a half. When asked about the quick timing for the laundry, she said it was all finished. In summary, I do not recommend this company unless you are OK with being taken advantage of, lied to, and stolen from. She told me that she uses a team of 2, herself and her business partner. Well, I am a business owner too (other than the AirBnb) and I do not run our successful business by taking advantage of our customers. Especially for a first experience, it's important to leave a lasting impression so that your customer wants to keep coming back or using your services. We were thinking of potentially using a cleaning company on a regular basis, but after this experience I sadly say that I'm not sure I will be able to trust anyone again. I wish anyone looking for a cleaning service the best of luck, but you should not look into this company because they are not honest.
