I contracted Maidwell cleaning in Asheville in June 2025 to clean an empty, newly purchased 1500 sq…read moreft condo before I moved in. The quote was for $388 which I considered a deal having previously received a quote of $900. The manager Dae was very polite and easy to work with, however the cleaning job was horrible. Very basics like cleaning the floors (all tile), wiping out all cabinets in the kitchen, cleaning interior windows, baseboards, fans and bathrooms were all in the contract, yet were not cleaned at all (hair and food particles left in kitchen, filthy floors, untouched toilets, etc. The entire rec room in the basement was untouched as well. I took many photos and Dae sent a second cleaner over and the condo was still quite dirty. This required yet a third visit, and finally the condo was clean, but still required an additional service for another 4 hours of cleaning. Would definitely NOT RECOMMEND!! They do not do what they contract, much less anything else.

They were hired to clean a house we were moving into, and also the house we moved out of to get it ready to sell. The owner was very flexible in helping us figure out scheduling and very easy to communicate with. Both houses were spotless when they were done, I was very impressed with the work they did, and the price was very fair. I'm looking forward to hiring them again soon!

While this company markets itself on employee care, my experience highlighted significant…read moreadministrative, payroll, and termination discrepancies. I was hired at $22.00 an hour for training (to go up to $25.00/hour afterward), but my final compensation did not accurately reflect my actual time on the clock. For multiple shifts, my payments were calculated below my actual hours worked, including mandatory office standby periods and on-site arrival times. Furthermore, management abruptly terminated my employment based on inaccurate claims that directly contradicted our scheduling agreements and documented medical conditions. I was penalized for an initial address discrepancy that management was fully aware of and actively monitored with me on the phone. Severe poison ivy and sumac reactions that were extensively disclosed to the team upon hire were also later weaponized as attendance infractions. To dismiss an employee under these circumstances--immediately after sending written messages stating how happy they were to have you on the team--is entirely unprofessional. I highly recommend that anyone considering working here keep strict, independent logs of their phone's GPS timeline and communication history to protect their rights."
