Our daughter needed a miracle. We tried dealing with her eating disorder ourselves and through…read moreweekly sessions at the university she was attending with a therapist, dietician and physician, but she kept getting worse. We researched residential treatment centers across the U.S. and after speaking with several over the phone, ViaMar seemed to be the best fit for our daughter and our family. Miracles come in different forms. Sometimes God just delivers them in an instant. Other times, you need to go through the journey so that you can understand what it's like to go through the pain, the process of healing, sympathizing with others going through the same thing, and maybe even building relationships that will last a lifetime. In our case, it was the latter. ViaMar, their staff, and the community of patients and their families have been our miracle. From our first phone call with Courtney, I knew we were in the right place. Courtney genuinely cares for each and every patient and she was a game-changer for us. We couldn't ask for a better admissions director than her. In my opinion, there's no better dietician than Amanda. Her knowledge, understanding, patience, and personality make her the perfect person to help anyone through this process. Amy is one of the most amazing therapists I've come across in my life. She genuinely cares for the patients and their families, she listens and offers suggestions that will assist you in attaining recovery, and she works with the whole family. Dr. Z is the best! She really listens to your concerns (patient and family) and is understanding when it comes to medication and your beliefs. But she's also not afraid to tell you how she feels, which is refreshing. She's beyond intelligent and the patients love her! The founder and CEO, Michelle, really cares about the patients and listens when they and their families give feedback. Huge props to her for this. Most founders/CEO's won't listen to feedback from patients or families. Jeremy, Ethan, Josh, Kim, Molly, Jess, Ms. Susan, and all the nurses have also been a godsend during this process. Michelle and her team have created a place where we know our daughter is in good hands and she is getting the help that she needs. Our daughter has been working very hard in her recovery from her eating disorder, as well as dealing with anxiety and depression. ViaMar encourages the whole family to get involved and we feel this has been a key component to her recovery process. Our life has been forever changed since going on this journey, but we feel encouraged and hopeful that our daughter will find peace and recovery from her eating disorder. We aren't admitting her." Then she came out of her office and told me I had 5 seconds to leave or she was calling the police. I told her to call the police. She said "Who do you think you are.". I was kicked out carry my luggage and sitting in the hot sun with no plan. Later I was told if I apologized they would admit me the next day. The next day I was on the phone crying, apologizing and begging to be admitted. They asked me "what was I willing to do to be admitted.". I didn't understand what Loteth meant and stated that. It was humiliating and they seemed to take pleasure in shaming me. They kept saying I wasn't taking accountability. I was. After 20 minutes of shaming me they said they would call me back. They called me and said they weren't admitting me and they didn't have to tell me why. Meanwhile Ethan is telling my husband that as long as I apologized for my behavior they would admit me. My husband thought I was admitted. When my husband found out I wasn't admitted, he called Ethan. Ethan told my husband that i didn't show enough remorse (i was crying, apologizing and taking accountability). When I said I didn't understand the question they took that to mean I wasn't taking it seriously. I felt like a puppet doing anything they told me just to be admitted. They seem to have taken pleasure in the shaming and humiliation. When they kicked me out they did so without any plan. I don't live in Florida and had no clue where I was. Viamar staff did not ensure my safety. My bmi was 15.2 and I was not medically stable. And the money...all of a sudden my insurance paid for care was no longer free. They were "nice" and offered a reduced fee and a "payment plan.". Haha! It was going to be billed biweekly for $1524! Michelle is scary and heartless! They caused such emotional distress. I flew back home medically and mentally unstable. I will be filing complaints and seek legal counsel. They neglected their duty to ensure I was safe. And the lies, they literally called my husband and told I him was refusing sign paperwork, as I'm signing it. Lori and Rainy come across as caring. They are wolves in sheep's clothing. Michelle doesn't even pretend to be nice. And Ethan just lies. He tells you how they founded this place because his Vanessa had an eating disorder, blah, blah. But at the end of the day he's controlled by his mother. I wish I had read these reviews ahead of time. So glad I didn't get admitted.

It's first and your best There's interests at heart, we weren't so happy when we left each time, because the doctors don't medicate you like they're supposed to the doctor treats you all as the same, they don't treat you as individual. If they can get app on their a game on treating people as an individual and medically dosing them the way they need to be instead of treating them all the same and giving them all the same thing, because we're not all the same, we are very different, what I take you couldn't take or what you take, I couldn't take so everybody metabolizes things very differently, so what I have to say is, if you want to get sober and you want to stay sober, definitely go and meet great people there. Of course, if they rehab, they'll watch. Go back and watch you tell your stories too. There's a lot of people. Some people go there for a new connect. Some people go there because they really want the help to me I really want to help and I want to stay sober. This is the last time I'm going, and this is the last time I'm gonna use. I'm gonna say sober after this. That was sober for 6 and a 1/2 years. And I relapsed last year, so it's a great place. Great people great food. The beds are comfortable. You can listen to music in your room which is big for me. Because I like to listen to music when I'm keep talking. It helps me get through my day and they got tons of food there. You'll never go hungry and the staff loves to talk to people. So never, if you don't feel good, you just tell them it won't bother you. They're very respectful on that number. Run away as there is NO 24/7 physician on staff. They use the urgent care and ER as their physician. The facility is awful. No upkeep or positive environment. They make promises they do not keep! If you happen to go there, get everything promised to you by the SALES person aka admissions in WRITING. There is no chef. No onsite physician. For people in recovery, the nutrition is severely lacking. All food is prison food. There were bugs in my fruit and on my plate. Stray cats inside the building. Facility was on lock down twice because of improper patient admission. Know your rights!! 1. It's all about the money. They do not care about you! You can not leave a Google review and that should say it all. 2. Promises made on the phone need to be in writing. 3. Know about the laws protecting you. This is a FOR PROFIT business and that is all it is! 4. Even Voluntary pay out of pocket and signing out AMA is a requirement. No it is not. 5. You have no obligation to give your social security number to ANY hospital of physician. DO NOT GIVE your social security number. Staff steals. I left without a $300 toothbrush that is on camera but somehow was lost. 6. Advocate for yourself strongly! 7. If you have been know Florida laws. This center is being reported State& Federal. Also to the joint commission. The JCAHO( Joint commission) is the ball buster. They will show up unannounced and give the cop knock. No way this place passes. 8. THE PLACE has been SOLD to new owners. On the 15th of this month, it will be a free for all. 9. No segregated women and mens areas with no doors that lock. HIGHLY disturbing for a female pt. 10. This place misrepresents itself everywhere. Take their Google Bullshit reviews and toss them. It's all Bullshit. If you leave the facility , you have no ability to review as they hand select their testimonials. Big RED FLAG! Google reviews vs here are unbelievable. I want people to seek the help they need and get the help they need. These treatment facilities are feeding off of human suffering like a parasite. If you need help, try to work with an outside facility. Death trap is the word I would use. Take care of your needs just know the facts before so you get the help you deserve and not dehumanizing, for THEIR profit only. They DO NOT CARE about you! Recruiter coerced us into going, lied about the conditions of the facility, told us the stay was…read morecovered by insurance. Conditions are the equivalent of a poor middle school, concrete walls, Great Value food, no pool, no outdoor area, no one to even answer the phone. He was going there to work on an addiction to prescription pills, wouldn't you know as soon as he got there, they offered to put him on a whole regiment of prescription pills? Tried to coerce him into going to one of their Flagler-owned "sober living" houses, surely to pump more money out of him. Fast forward to six months later, we just got a bill in the mail showing the total cost of the stay (45 days, she said 30, another lie) was $250,000.00, they insurance paid $4,000. When i called the number, straight to voicemail, and some snarky little twink named Kyle called me and demanded money, and refused to answer any of my questions while also claiming to be the only person in the Billing Department. More lies. This is a terrible place with a few good staff members, the rest are just scammers preying on people in trouble.
