There is an xray unit but this is only open at certain times so more often than not you will have to visit the larger Kent and Sussex hospital in Tunbridge Wells. Their main focus is care for the elderly who are recovering from illness/injury which means they can stay nearer to home. I had all my ante-natal care here during my first pregnancy and the midwives were fantastic. There is also free parking in the hospital car park which is a rare thing!

Having said that, I have been here once before and it's a modern clinic with a computerised queueing system and fancy condom dispensing vending machines. The waiting times are no worse than at other NHS walk-in centres (i.e. terrible). Even though Artesian is right next to where I work, I'm just going to go to Guys@St Mary's in Paddington instead which runs convenient late-night clinics instead of closing at four.

Not only was the doctor quite thorough in my daughter's health check, he listened attentively to what I was saying, re assured me that it was nothing to be worried about (a viral cold that would go away in time, there are no medicines for that) and gave me some home remedies, which worked. Me and my husband were given appointments for standard health checks the moment we registered. It is a small surgery, which comes to show big is not always better.
