The staff are really, really friendly and always manage to have your washing ready before you expect. It costs around a tenner to have a suit dry-cleaned, which is slightly cheaper than other launderette's in the vicinity, and it can be back the same day as long as it's handed in early enough. I live miles away and preferred to travel to Krisp + Kleen than use any of the other launderettes closer to home. We had no washing machine for the first couple of months in our new house, so I practically lived in the place. Well, I dropped stuff off for service washes every fortnight. They even know my name now! Prices for service washes vary depending on the size of your load, but I always had the feeling they made very little profit per bag and charged mainly for the washing and drying. They offer a same day service. Leather and Suade can also be cleaned here. Inside the shop is a huge Firbimatic machine which aparently uses hydrocarbon solvents. This is similar to standard dry cleaning but the petrolium solvents are slightly gentler on clothes although do produce VOC which are not great for the atmosphere.

Unfortunately the other day when I took in a duvet to be laundered, and asked about the options for doing so, I was greeted with a look, like I should already know that. Well considering the price list on the door is out of date (either that or plain wrong) it's just as well I asked. When I went back to collect the duvet, the same lady served me and was much more friendly. I had already paid though!! And when I got my duvet home, she had written my name on it in permanent marker!! I will feel like I'm on a sleepover every time I change the bed now! haha

I got married in March 2015 and I left it a good 9 months before even thinking about getting my dress cleaned. My dress was absolutely filthy and had so many layers and detail too it, I was worried the stains wouldn't come out. Amir was very friendly and advised me that some of the stains may be difficult to remove. I was confident he knew what he was talking about and he took the time to go through the cleaning process with me. He never once pushed any prices/extra things onto me. Within a week or so I got a call to say my dress was ready to collect at anytime. Amir again took the time to show me my dress, it looked as good as new. All stains had been removed and I was amazed by the great care he'd taken. Noticed Wedding dresses , Ball Gowns , Wedding Suits all hanging aroun waiting for collection so although i have only had coats dry cleaned it seems to everything they will do , even curtains and duvets dont know what the price of these larger items would cost but my coats were half the price it cost me at Johnsons and that was even using there loyalty card at jOHNSTONS. I had two pairs of trousers with broken zips. I had been meaning to get them fixed for a few weeks but hadn't had the opportunity. My lady was getting impatient - apparently there is a limited amount of time that she's willing to be seen with me sporting a pair of Decathlon walking trousers (but they're timeless classics!) that are slightly too short for me. Cue a visit to Smart City Tailors by me, less than two hours before their closing time. Could they help? Just one pair of trousers with a new zip would help. Rubbish sir, we'll fix both pairs. And we won't charge you extra however much you protest. Just pop back later before we close. I did, and you know the rest: last night a tailor saved my life from a broken heart.
