Dr. Bayuk is an extremely knowledgeable doctor, who I've seen for over 3 years for allergies, asthma and now...immunology. Easy to communicate with, he's helped me keep my wonky immune system as healthy as possible. You work with the hand you are dealt in life. For those who continue with allergy shots, remember to check before you go for these. Staff issues happen, sometimes a doctor isn't on call for the shots--requiring cancelation of shots. They try very hard in a very busy office to keep up. Having had limited interactions with other medical staff in the office, I cannot speak to their qualifications, bedside manner, etc. But I was able to get excellent help when I crashed with infections (immune system issues I have), on a weekend. Excellent help from the staff member on call. As I noted, it IS a busy office and paperwork does sometimes slip through cracks--but from the front office to the nurses (thanks esp. to Chelsea), they run to try and cover all bases. read more

I am disgusted with this practice, and will be looking for an allergist outside this group. The doctors have been pleasant, and I have nothing to say against their competence, but they have always seemed hurried and stressed. For several years I've taken Dupixent for a frightening skin condition. It costs $3000 per dose, and every year I've had to renew my application for free care. This time around, I was given the wrong application form at the office. I called the people in the Northampton office who work with biologics 3 times, and left messages. Never got a call back. Then I called and told the office receptionist that I needed to make a complaint. I was given the voicemail of the appropriate person, again left a message, and again no call back. I just can't get what I need from this practice. read more

From the moment I walked into the Florence office I was treated terribly. The receptionist checking me in did not even great me as a new patient. When I asked for a receipt for my copay and it seemed like it was such a hassle. She handed me the receipt and I had to ask if I was all set, do I sit down now? The same receptionist was then seen complaining to a coworker in another room with the door wide open to the waiting area about someone on the phone. I was then called in and the medical assistant did not great me. She too seemed like I was a bother as well. The provider walked in, again didn't great me, just said I'm Lea, what are you here for. So I explained my history and she then said they do not have the medication to test me with and I would have to come back in a few months. I made this appointment on January 27, 2026 and why did they not call me to cancel? She stated because the didn't even know what I was there for, which I had confirmed over the phone when I scheduled the appointment. I said I will not be making another appointment in a few months in hopes you will then have what you need to provide care, that the office has the referral and the information from my PCP as to why I scheduled, and that this office should have notified me to cancel if they did not have what they needed to see me. I went back to the reception and asked to speak with the practice manager. After some time Lea, the provider called me back again and said they were going to go ahead and do the testing that they had found one vile, and so I declined. I said I would just like to speak with the practice manager to get my copay back and I would be my way that I would find another provider to work with and again went to reception. The practice manager also did not introduce herself, but immediately apologized and said that the provider was wrong, they knew what I was there for and she apologized for the receptionist and the medical assistant. I too work in medical, and this is NOT how patients should be treated ever. The office manager asked if I wanted to speak with the owner and I declined. After several minutes they produced a receipt with my copay refund and I left. I will NEVER step foot in this office again and I will NEVER recommend them. People deserve to be treated with kindness and respect and you will not receive this in the Florence location. What a disappointment. read more

Extremely unhelpful. Multiple times attempting to make an appointment and receptionists are not helpful and uninformed. They do a poor job at taking notes of previous discussions. Got hung up on, won't seek treatment from such an incompetent practice. read more

I am a snowbird. In over 2 years, AIANE never performed a skin test and formulated serums just based on an old blood test. The skin tests were performed in Florida and information was shared. The Florida immunologist said the formulation needed to include additional antigens to help with vegetation I was extremely allergic to which is found in Massachusetts, yet the new serums did not cover anything additional. I was told I had to have an appointment with the allergist. I had an appointment with someone who is not a doctor. I also needed my allergy shot which she said she couldn't give because they won't do two things on the same day because they won't get paid for two visits on one day and that she doesn't do shots. This set me behind in my injection schedule. There was seemingly no concern for the severe allergies I have been having. read more

I was not informed that my mast cell NP didn't work with them anymore. I almost drove one and one half hours to see her in Wilberham. I called the day before the appointment to ask a question and was informed that she left the entire practice. No one knows where she went. I was most upset because they gave me no alternatives. I'm totally disgusted. read more

Hello, my youngest saw Dr. Bayuk a few months back for some food reactions. The assistant that came in was very kind and did the allergy testing before he came in to read the results. When he came in he explained everything and what to avoid and prescribed us an epi-pen for her. The wait for the appointment was not terribly long but doesn't seem like there are many other allergiest in the area besides this company. Front staff in the northampton office was terrific. Highly recommend this office. read more

The doctors have always been very pleasant and helpful but I've had many, many issues getting my Rx shot. Whenever the office calls regarding an issue it is always on the day I am scheduled for a shot. (It has happened at least 3 times in the last two year) I have been getting my shots at the hospital and today my appointment was canceled because AIANE did not send the order in. They said I called the office with a question and left a message in the morning, I did not. I was told to. I was told to call the pharmacy to find out if there was an issue. I was given the number to a pharmacy that hadn't filled my arc since 2023. After many calls back and forth with the pharmacy and hospital I realized that the order was not sent in. I tried to explain plain this to the woman I spoke with at AIANE and she tried to give me another pharmacy number to call. I had to explain again the problem was with their office. I was asked if they could call me back as they worked in the issue. they did not call me. the hospital canceled my appointment and can't reschedule until they get an order. Now I can't get my shot until they figure out some "system " issue? I was informed there had been a system change ant they were working out some problems. They must change systems alit as this type of issue seems to happen repeatedly. I am so uncomfortable and I don't have any idea when I can get my shot! read more

In 2022 our college age daughter had an appointment with Jonathan Bayuk, DO at the Northampton Allergy and Immunology Associates of New England because she was suffering terrible allergic hand skin reactions. In 2023 post college semester employment our daughter's hands began to break out again after wearing protective gloves. We simply requested a letter from the doctor be sent to her employer advising that he has seen her in 2022 for allergic skin and suggesting that it would be advantageous that appropriate accommodations be made for her sufficient for her to properly manage any associated allergic reactions. We even drafted the short letter for him! Well, unfortunately, per the doctor's assistant on the phone, he refuses to send such a letter without seeing her again. What a SHAME that this doctor would not extend such an EASY assist for our daughter who is working so hard at minimum wage 1,500 miles away trying to earn money for college without inflaming her hands from wearing of employer prescribed gloves. read more

The MD gave me very little information. They did the standard tests (which I just found out cost me $600 even with my insurance!) and told me what I was allergic to and then offered me shots. That was that. Nothing about my symptoms or other treatments or how to consider if shots are appropriate for me. My cynical side notes shots must be a great moneymaker. I was sorely disappointed as I had been sick for over a month. read more

The reception staff is excellent and they receive these stars. It doesn't make me happy to leave this review, but this was my honest experience. My visit with the allergist was an enormous waste of time. I went for a specific test based on a referral, which I know the office received, because they referenced it when they called me to make the appointment. However, at the appointment, after I had signed a consent form stating that the $200+ visit would be covered by my insurance, I was told that test could not be performed because "The allergy serums are really expensive, so we only have 10 different allergen serums available." They would not order one test for me, because it would cost them money. You've taken my insurance information, you said my insurance would cover the visit - Do I not deserve to be tested for the very thing that my doctor referred me for? Why did I waste my time coming at all? I felt that was very rude, uncalled for, and unprofessional. The allergist spent the majority of the visit trying to convince me to get tested for things other than what I was referred for. She performed no viral test, yet the very first thing she did was try to convince me that it was a virus. She pushed for a needless tree pollen and dust test. I continually had to steer the conversation back to the subject of the referral. She rolled her eyes at me. She claimed that allergies were a nebulous subject and there was really no way to be sure, and maybe I should keep a food diary, while at the same time saying that she'd been in the business for over 25 years. Worst doctor's office I have ever been to. Patients are treated with complete disrespect. Bedside manner from the nursing staff and doctors were terrible. They don't get back to you EVER with lab results. Had to call twice a week for a month and was finally told after a month that I wasn't going to receive the results until the dr returned from vacation. You would think that an office with multiple dr's, that there would be an attending physician that could relay lab results, but when your office is filled with incompetents, that is asking too much. I was then informed after a month that the labs were negative for what they thought I had but wanted to treat me with meds to treat the condition that I DID NOT HAVE?!?! Will never return to this office and will make sure I inform others not to as well. read more
