Love this hotel. Stayed on the 4th floor which is dedicated to silent films. Room was comfortable…read moreand clean. Small fridge inside filled with drinks and snacks for purchase. Service was great especially during breakfast. Breakfast was great! They served eggs lots of bread options, fruits, sweets, juices. And segafrado coffee to order! Only thing I didn't like about this hotel was that the air conditioner could not be turned on until May. It was cool outside, but was not comfortable enough for my taste. I asked for a fan but only two available for the hotel?

The staff are very friendly and helpful. They all spoke very good English which was good because my…read moreItalian is horrible. The fresh coffee from the coffee bar in the mornings is awesome! The entire facility was clean and taken care of. If I have one single complain, its parking. Like most of Europe, parking is a luxury. The hotel it's self doesn't have any parking. There is limited paid parking (blue lines) on the street in front of the hotel. We opted to park a few blocks away in the free parking (white lines). I had to circle the block a few times waiting for space to open up but no big deal for me. The walk wasn't bad either. And let's face it, after eating the awesome Italian food for two weeks, the walking did me some good. They are also conveniently located to the train station. Easy walk to catch the train to Venice. You are also only two blocks from the city center. Lots of shops and restaurants with in a easy short walk from the hotel. All in all, I enjoyed my stay and I would defiantly stay here again.

We did have some issues with parking, that garage is tiny so park early and make sure you have a small car or park elsewhere. The hotel staff is great, very accommodating! We booked a room at Hotel Due Leoni almost last-minute to visit some friends in Sacile and what a great accomodation it proved to be! The hotel furnishings are a bit outdated but this actually adds to its charme. I was very surprised to find a perfectly working vintage green SIP telephone on my nightstand- it was a sweet and nostalgic reminder of my youth. The rooms are very spacious with modern bathrooms and all the necessary amenities. The hotel is conveniently located in the heart of Piazza del Popolo and surrounded by beautiful Venetian-style buildings. An underground parking is available but it does require very skilled drivers to navigate the narrow parking slots. From the underground garage, an elevator takes you directly to the lobby and/or the rooms. The check-in process was fast and smooth with very professional and courteous staff. What really made a difference for us were the highest cleaning standards of the hotel: every surface was sparkling clean with nary a grain of dust to be found, all courtesy of their cleaning lady (I think her name was Elda and she came from Matera?) . Our room had a view on the Livenza River and the church. If you are a light sleeper, I would recommend taking some noise-cancelling buds to protect your ears since the bells of the nearby church ring at every hour- it did not bother us. The breakfast buffet is deliciously scrumptious with plenty of variety. We would gladly stay here again.

Ambassador Palace Hotel - Here for the film festival and yikes...they are still using my photo from 10 years ago! Agh!

The rooms are reasonably…read moresized, the beds are OK (somewhat on the stiffer side), one can easily get away with the knowledge of just English. Breakfast is good. There is a parking underneath the hotel for an extra 14 euro per day. It is typically possible to park also in the blue-marked spaces next to the hotel or across the street for free, however, the local parking regulations are kind of complicated, so check at the hotel desk for the restrictions. The area is very safe. The mini-suite has a balcony and the sitting area not separated by any partition from the bedroom; the balcony was not useful to us as the window opened onto the typical Italian concrete jungle. A restaurant downstairs serves quite passable Italian fare in the evenings; the food is not exciting. A star is deducted for an inconvenient (free) WiFi login that requires re-entering the password after each power-up and the minor mishaps caused by the maid (she was apparently interrupted mid-service, so on the second day we ended up with a pair of thick rubber gloves in the bathroom but without the tea tray).

The hotel is on a street about 10 minutes walk to the middle of the old town. It is about four blocks from the train station. There is a small park right across the street, a convenience store next to the hotel, and several restaurants on the same street. The rooms have been renovated just a couple of years ago and are very nice. The breakfast is continental and the staff are friendly. Most speak at least some English. The internet access was included. However, it was not always reliable. I got dropped several times each night. It is possible I was at the edge of the wireless coverage though. I was usually able to reconnect quickly. My customer had a direct bill arrangement so I do not know the price. I would certainly be willing to stay there again.
